A lot has been happening behind the scenes lately, with plenty of growth, learning, and change.

Off Grid Photography has evolved from a one person operation into a small three person team. With that has come new ideas, fresh inspiration, and its own set of challenges.

One of the biggest shifts for me personally has been learning to step back, let go of some control, and trust my team, my family, to get the job done.

We are currently in the process of setting up a small creative space at home where we can continue to experiment and develop new techniques. This image is one of those, captured using remote live shooting directly from my phone, as I am still unable to hold my camera comfortably due to the weight.

Safe to say, this one feels like a win, and we are excited to keep building, learning, and growing from here.

I’d like to introduce a very special addition to Off Grid Photography…

This is Hayley; my 11 year old daughter, who has recently stepped up to start learning the ropes behind the camera.

She’s been a massive help already, from assisting on shoots to getting comfortable handling the camera under my guidance, and she’ll continue to join me at future sessions, meeting clients and being part of the experience.

Off Grid Photography has always been about building a life around what I love, and being able to bring my daughter into that is something pretty special.

You’ll be seeing a lot more of Hayley as she grows into her role and becomes a full-time part of the team.
