Surprise.

Our little Livia joined us earthside on New Years Day. Born at 35 weeks, 5 weeks early, while we were away, and very determined to make a New Year’s entrance.

The house has softened around her, the days have melted into one another, and we are leaning into this slow sacred and impossibly fleeting time. And somehow we’re doing it smack in the middle of school holidays with three other kids at home — as wonderfully chaotic as it gets, in the best possible way.

We are completely smitten. The newborn bubble is every bit as magical as I remembered it to be. I wish I could press pause and linger here a little longer.

There’s something so special about capturing the journey from bump to baby — those fleeting weeks before your world changes, and those tender first days after.

Maternity sessions are best captured between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you’re still feeling comfortable.

Newborn sessions are best done in the first 2–3 weeks after birth, when your baby is still sleepy and curly from the womb.

I offer a special Bump to Baby package for families who want to tell the full story — from pregnancy glow to those first cuddles.

Spots do book out early, so the best time to plan ahead is during your second trimester. It’s one of those things you’ll never regret having captured.

Welcoming baby number three came with an extra dose of sweetness.

FAQ time — because I get asked these a lot:

When is the best time for maternity photos?
Around 32–36 weeks is ideal — your bump is beautifully round, and you’re (hopefully!) still comfortable.
When is the best time for newborn photos?
I recommend within the first 2–3 weeks after birth, while bub is still curled up and sleepy.
When should I book in?
As early as possible! Most families book around the 20-week scan to secure their preferred dates.

How is it May already?
I swear it was just January and I was mapping out the year ahead… and yet here we are, halfway through, chasing golden light through the bush as the sun dips behind the trees.

Autumn always slows me down. Just enough to notice the way the light hits her dress, the way he holds her hand, the way little feet rest so easily on Dad’s shoulders.

This sweet family of 3 has been in front of my lens for a few years now, and every time feels like catching up with old friends.

I’ve watched their love grow, seen those curls get bouncier, and felt the way they settle into each other more deeply each time.

It’s never just about the photos — it’s about the story they tell over time.
And I feel so lucky to witness this one unfold, year after year.
