🎨 The Surf Coast Arts Trail is on this weekend!

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, take the opportunity to explore the incredible creativity our region has to offer.

The Surf Coast Arts Trail showcases a diverse range of local artists, galleries and studios, making it a fantastic weekend to discover original artwork and meet the talented people behind it.

I'm pleased to have a selection of my DRT Images fine art landscape photographs on display at Surfcoast Gallery as part of the Arts Trail.

Unfortunately, I won't be there in person this weekend, but Jacki and Gaven will be at the gallery and would love to welcome you, show you around and answer any questions about the artwork on display.

CONVERGENCE

Standing beneath Point Lonsdale Pier before sunrise, watching the first light meet the sea, I was drawn to the way every line seemed to lead towards a single point on the horizon.

The weathered timber, the gentle movement of the water and the contrast between the warm sunrise and the cool morning sky all came together to create a moment of perfect balance.

There's something special about standing beneath a pier before the world wakes up. The sound of the waves, the smell of the salt air, and the feeling that, for a few moments, you have the entire coastline to yourself. Those are the moments I love to capture.

Convergence is a Limited Edition of only 100 prints. Each print is individually numbered, signed, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Cosy Morning
Cosy Corner, Torquay, Victoria

As the first light spills across the shoreline, Cosy Corner awakens in gentle shades of pink and gold. The weathered groynes stretch quietly into the sea, guiding the eye toward the horizon while the tide softly reshapes the sand below. Captured at sunrise, Cosy Morning reflects the peaceful beauty of Torquay’s coastline — a moment of stillness before the day begins.

🔥 Nyepi Eve in Seminyak – The Power of Ogoh-Ogoh 🔥

On the eve of silence, the streets of Seminyak come alive.

These incredible Ogoh-Ogoh sculptures — handcrafted, towering, and full of raw expression — represent negative energy and spirits. Paraded through the streets with fire, music, and intensity… before being burned to cleanse and reset.

It’s chaos before calm.
Energy before stillness.
A powerful reminder that to find peace, we must first release what no longer serves us.

A moment of stillness, captured in colour.

This striking hornbill, photographed at Bali Bird Park, carries an almost prehistoric presence — bold, curious, and quietly powerful. The textures, the contrast, and that unmistakable beak make it a subject that stops you in your tracks.

There’s something about wildlife up close that reminds you how intricate and beautifully designed nature truly is.
