First attempt at shooting the Milky Way last night. Taken at Australia's First International Dark-Sky Sanctuary in Winton, QLD. The walls surrounding the viewing area's at the observatory were built to resemble meteorites and there is a couple of cheeky dinosaur shadows in the corner. The red lighting that they use throughout the observatory allows you to preserve your night-vision and allow you to be able to see better in the dark. It was so dark, that you could see the C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet with the naked eye, however it had passed not long after we arrived.

A few photos from the Toowoomba Touch Association A and B Mens Semi Final on the weekend. Sharks A Grade Men made it through to the Grand Final, unfortunately the B Grade Men lost to Saints.

Friday night I got the opportunity to experience being a sideline photographer with Nikon Australia. As a Canon user, this was a challenge swapping between the 2 camera brands, but it was well worth it and certainly enjoyed the challenge. These are some of my favourite shots so far out of the 2.5k that I have to sort through.
