still thinking about this session months later because that afternoon really threw all weather curveballs at me and honestly impressed myself at how beautiful the gallery was🥹

on another note, the last month has been hectic cramming in sessions before flying, an overdue trip back to aotearoa, christmas minis, preparing to move house and also making the big decision that at the end of next year I’ll be closing off my books!

I haven’t officially set a date yet, so if you see this and you’re already booked please don’t stress, BUT for those that have been thinking about a session or have a gift card still to use, 2026 will be your last opportunity to capture something beautiful with me! (which also means that I’ll be opening up my books for new families to give you that chance!)

another sunrise, another breastfeeding mama 🌞

I’ve had so many breastfeeding sessions last few months, from newborn to extended feeding and I am absolutely loving capturing so many feeding journeys!
also very much been loving those that have gotten up at sunrise with me lately, honestly the best way to start a day with the rising sun🌙

reminiscing on sweet baby Harlow’s session at six weeks new ✨

now almost five months earthside, how does time seem to feel that it speeds up even more once you have your own babies.

one moment a positive test, next you’ve welcome them into your arms and blink you’re scrolling through all the photos from their first 12 months.

for me it seems to be the jump from age 1 to 2 that’s the hardest reality check of time just vanishing🌱

let’s quickly chat about image sharing, a bit of a pressure point with some photographers 🙈

with the ever changing world of online sharing and AI, I see a lot more clients opting to not keep images private for a variety of reasons, which I completely understand.

each session with receives a questionnaire which will allow to mark what you’re comfortable with me sharing publicly - complete allowance, no child’s faces or just not at all.

this allows me to plan for how I’ll capture your session, particularly if you opt for no faces 🙈 because if this is the choice than your gallery will feature my ‘usuals’ but also include images to hide faces… not just for my portfolio but I know that clients may want to share the joy in their images but in a way of keeping privacy too!

from a photographers point, I do understand how it can feel limiting when advertising our beautiful work brings in opportunities, but although it’s our art it’s also someone’s intimate memories✨perhaps it’s an opportunity to view angles differently?
