I am really happy, my Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 came today, it’s going to be perfect for wide angle wildlife environmental shots as well as for events. I had the VR version years ago and sold it, one of my biggest regrets!

Excited to get out and shoot.

Rainbow Bee-eater

My first time seeing and photographing this bird species. So cool! It was at Tinchi Tamba Wetlands. I watched them for a good while, trying to get closer, however when I got close, some Noisy Miners came and scared them away for good.

I am looking forward to getting the wing shot next time. The rainbow bee-eater or Merops ornatus, is a bird species in the bee-eater family Meropidae.

The Eastern Grey Kangaroo, or Macropus giganteus, at Tinchi Tamba Wetlands in Queensland, Australia.

The eastern grey kangaroo is a marsupial found in the eastern third of Australia, with a population of several million. A large M. giganteus kangaroo male can typically weigh up to 69 kg and have a length of well over 2 m.

Little egret at Tinchi Tamba Wetlands

The little egret is a species of small heron in the family Ardeidae. It is a white bird with a slender black beak, long black legs and, in the western race, yellow feet. As an aquatic bird, it feeds in shallow water and on land, consuming a variety of small creatures.
