Summer holidays in black and white. These are a few highlights from our trip up the coast to our favourite beach town. We spent our days together in saltwater, sand and sun, hunting for crabs in the dunes, floating down the creek, eating bacon and egg rolls, painting watercolour pictures of the ocean, and seeking out new adventures.

I feel so grateful to live in this free and beautiful land.

I loved photographing this gorgeous trio for their day in the life family photoshoot.

While mum and dad (both incredible chefs) were busy making an epic birthday cake for the party later that day, the birthday girl and I explored the backyard together. We raked leaves, jumped on the trampoline, and raced each other. She showed me her most beloved toys and then gave an impromptu piano recital. After that, we dragged dad outside for some more trampoline fun, then headed back indoors for some quiet reading and cuddles with mum, a strawberry snack and some drawing. We had so much fun!

My photo sessions are child-led with the odd suggestion from me as to what might be fun to do next. I hang out with you at your home or favorite spot doing the things you like to do together, I just happen to have my camera with me. Sometimes it’s helpful to have a loose plan, but it’s equally good to just go with the flow.

It’s real life and it’s goddamn beautiful!
