Hyogo Prefectural Park Awaji Hanasajiki - Part 3 - Close-up View

With the perfect weather and lighting, I was so busy switching lenses to capture different close-up shots!! 😜

They have different flowers throughout the year, make sure to pick the right time to visit! (https://awajihanasajiki.jp/)

Spring 🌸 (March to May): with the yellow flowers of rapeseed, February Orchid (Orychophragmus violaceu), linaria, poppy and Iceland poppy.
Summer (June to September): buckwheat flowers, purpletop vervain, Cleome spinosa (spiny spiderflower), sunflower and blue sage.
Autumn 🍁 (October to November): red sage, buckwheat flowers and cosmos.
Winter (December to February): common stock.

Hyogo Prefectural Park Awaji Hanasajiki - Part 2 - Day Time View

Since the sunset view was so amazing, I couldn't resisit but to return the next day to capture it in different lighting! The weather was gorgeous and I got more time to expolore the park. Wish I could just spend the whole day here!!

Hyogo Prefectural Park Awaji Hanasajiki - Part 1 - Sunset View

I've been dreaming of coming back to this seaside floral paradise!!
Last time I was here in late Nov, they had some colorful Japanese Stock Flowers. And this time I was lucky enough to catch the Autumn season blooms with much more varieties: Mealycup Sage, Scarlet Sage, Red buckwheat and my favourite: Garden Cosmos!!

While looking over the gorgeous flower fields, it's also a great place to enjoy the panoramic view of the Akashi Strait and Osaka Bay!!

Couldn't leave Nagano without visiting the magical 御射鹿池 Mishaka Pond!!

It was lucky that the weather was perfect on our last day in Nagano, a clear windless moment.. The day before we also went there but it was so foggy that we couldn't see the pond at all!!

Travelling through the scenic Venus Line (ビーナスライン) at Nagano長野県!!

Up the mountain then into the woods....

After we left Mount Kurumayama, we went to Gosensui Nature Garden 御泉水自然園 . This natural park located 1,830 high in the middle of Mt. Tadeshina, with highland plants of about 300 kinds living on their own among the dense semi-tropical forest.

We've arrived at the terrace 女神のテラス1830, which offers gorgeous views of Lake Megami 女神湖 and Northern Alps.

Trekking through broadwalk and steep stairs into the forest, it's like entered into a different world!

Travelling through the scenic Venus Line (ビーナスライン) at Nagano長野県!!

Mount Kurumayama 車山 is a popular spot alone the Venus Line. If offer various trekking routes with great views! We trekked from the side car park, it a fairly easy route to the summit. The weather was so good that we could spot Mt Fuji from afar!

Kurumayama reaches a height of 1,925m and is the highest peak of Kirigamine area. It boasts a 360 degrees panoramic view of the Yatsugatake mountain range, the South, Central and Northern Alps. And at the top of the mountain sits the Kurumayama Shrine.

Travelling through the scenic Venus Line (ビーナスライン) at Nagano長野県!!

We stayed at the scenic Lake Shirakaba 白樺湖 for the night.

"Lake Shirakaba is located at the foot of Yatsugatake (Mt. Tateshina, Kita-Yatsugatake), a national park. Construction of the lake began in the mid-1950s and was completed about 1500 m above sea level in 1945."

And watching the colourful sunrise unfolded was absolutelyh magical! I even drove up to the lookout for a breathtaking panorama view!

The Venus Line is a scenic driving route that winds through mountainous landscapes at elevations over 1,000 meters, stretching approximately 75.2 kilometers from Chino City to the Utsukushigahara Highlands in Nagano Prefecture. Passing fantastic lakes and wetlands surrounded by beautiful mountain sights! Definitely a dream roadtrip route!

Autumn Road Trip 🧡🍁🍂🚙

Road trip during Autumn was absolutely magacial! Coz you'd never what amazing scenery is waiting for you just around the corner! I still remember as we slowly climbing up a mountain, saw the change of colour and then entered a whole different world of Autumn!!
Driving through such beautiful landscape and be able to stop at some random spots, or rest stops; then ended up spending half an hour there to enjoy it! 😜

If you ever wanted to do a road trip in Japan, I highly recommend coming to Aomori during the Autumn season!
