I've been trying to perfect this shot for some time 📸

Every visit to Basin View on the South Coast, I look out for these stunning birds 🖤❤️

My goal is to capture two together with the pose that forms a love heart with their necks ❤️🖤

Other things to consider is lighting, stillness of the water, distance from the shore, and time of day 🙌

One of my favourite waratah images I photographed in the Royal National Park 🌳 and the walking trail where I found it 🙌

Imagine seeing the colour pop of the waratah in its natural environment, certainly not wanting to be obscure 🙈

This is my favourite pic for its long and slender petals. I'd not seen another like it ❤️ the ghost gums stunning in its own right too 💚

🌼 Flannel Flower Flurry 🌼

Took in a beautiful coastal walk on the south coast near Ulladullah recently with my long, long lens! I was looking for the red-tailed black cocktoo 🐦‍⬛

They were nowhere to be found, so my focus shifted to the abundance of wildflowers along the path, including the stunning Flannel Flower 💛

They are a delicate little flower, their detail so intricate. Love how my lens sees the soft velvety petals, the fine hairs on the stems, and the tiny tiny anthers 🌼

Definitely love the soft pastel palette too 🎨

The long, long lens didn't let me down as I am very happy with how these images turned out 🙌
