I drove out to Coolabine Road this afternoon to see whether the tree-lined avenue that delights local photographers each year was ready yet.
Our lovely trees aren't quite at their peak, but they're definitely getting there. 🍂
The drive itself is beautiful, with plenty of scenic hinterland views along the way. A stunning rainbow accompanied me for much of the journey — all 45 minutes of it! 🌈
Buddy came along too and thoroughly enjoyed his little outing. 🧡

Thank you everyone for your input yesterday. 💛

I had another look today and ChatGPT helped me create this concept, and I'm actually really happy with how it's coming together.

The final website won't look exactly like this. The plan is to have a short 30-second video in the top banner rather than a static image, and the logo and photos will be replaced with more realistic, professional versions (ChatGPT has definitely taken a few creative liberties with them! 😆).

What I love is how amazing these AI tools are for creating ideas and mock-ups. It makes it so much easier to communicate a vision and guide the professional website designers.

I'm really excited to see the finished result. Hope my website designer doesn't think I am OTT presenting this to him. 😊

Design question for my creative friends! 😊
You’ve given me some fantastic feedback on design choices in the past, so I’d love your thoughts. Thank you.
I’m having a new website designed for my veterinary business, and ChatGPT and I have been creating mood boards tonight.
Which colour palette do you prefer? I’m aiming for something warm, calm, caring and coastal. 🌊🐾
I look forward to your responses and suggestions.

Buddy and I got to watch the local Point Arkwright Ospreys this afternoon! 🦅 Despite the gloomy weather, we caught this lovely fly-by of what seems to be a breeding pair sticking close together. One of them was carrying a piece of palm tree frond, so it looks like they might be building a nest! So glad we caught this moment, and I really hope I get to see a baby later on. 🌧️📸👶

Happy first day of winter from Noosa National Park! ☀️🌿

It was a glorious day with sunshine, blue skies, and a cool breeze drifting along the coastline. The locals were out and about, making the most of the beautiful weather.

I haven't spotted a whale yet, but it won't be long now. Our magnificent humpback visitors will soon be passing by on their journey north, where they'll give birth to the next generation of calves.

Winter in Noosa is something special. 🐋💙

The raptors at Point Arkwright put on a beautiful show today 🦅
An osprey perched in a tree close to the viewing deck, watching the fishermen below with hopeful intent 🎣. While I was there, he wasn’t successful and eventually drifted back to his vantage point before heading out over the sea toward a small boat where people were enjoying a sunny late afternoon fish ☀️🚤

Soon after, a white-bellied sea eagle appeared, gliding back toward shore. The osprey made a brief approach, but the eagle smoothly evaded him, carrying what looked like a piece of fish—perhaps a generous gift from the fisherman 🐟. Moments later, the sea eagle circled back and gave a close fly past the deck, glowing in the warm golden light of the setting sun 🌅

Such a privilege to witness it all 💛

Tonight’s moonrise arrived in soft pastel hues—so delicate and pale it was barely there at first. It only became more visible as it rose while the sun set, quietly revealing itself. Beautiful to watch.

I’m so glad I had my wide angle lens in the car when I realised the sunset was going to be something special. I quickly drove up to a higher spot in my neighbourhood and watched the sky change from bright orange to a deep purple-pink within minutes.
Despite being surrounded by a group of loud, swearing and va**ng teenagers on e-bikes, we all stopped to watch. Phones came out quickly as they took their own photos too. One asked how long I’d been doing photography and whether I was “like a real photographer and really good at it.” I laughed and replied, “I just love photography.”
He smiled and said, “Yeah, I reckon you’d be really good at it then.”
It made me smile seeing a glimpse of kindness beneath all the teenage bravado. I hope nature and photography guides them towards good choices in life.

The last shot is my favourite. Which one is yours?
