If only autumn in Queensland had this much colour This was from my last morning in Japan.

We’d been walking through the bamboo grove in Arashiyama, but once the crowds picked up, we kept moving.

Not long after, this view opened up, fog rolling through the valley.

A pretty perfect way to finish the trip!

Some places stay with us long after we’ve left. Not because they were gentle or familiar, but because they took our breath away.

I took this photograph in Greenland several years ago, surrounded by icebergs that felt both vast and alive. This one wasn’t towering straight up, but spreading wide across the water, quietly powerful in its presence.

There was nothing to rush. No single moment to chase. Just slowly sailing around the iceberg, seeing it change from every angle, and feeling very small in the best possible way.

That’s often what I’m trying to photograph, not just the place itself, but the feeling of being there, long after the journey ends.

It’s wildlife week in so of course it made me think of these cuties! It was amazing to see them roaming around the park seemingly unbothered by all the humans!

Being in a place and looking for images gives my brain a break from the usual noise and busyness.

Lately, I’ve been focused on photographing places more slowly. Looking for light, layers and calm, rather than anything too dramatic. I’m really enjoying how this is shaping my images.
