Two very healthy, mildly venomous Brown Tree Snakes removed from a roof in Palmview tonight.

The homeowner had been hearing something moving around up in the roof, and with renovations starting ASAP, they asked me to get up there, have a look around and find out exactly what was making all the noise.

Turns out there were two Brown Tree Snakes up there.

Red-bellied Black Snake safely removed from a front yard in Meridan Plains yesterday

I’ve had a few people ask me this question recently, so I thought I’d answer it in this post.

Why do I hold onto the snake instead of putting it straight into the bag?

I’m inspecting the snake to make sure it’s in good condition before I release it. I’m checking for any injuries, abnormalities or signs that something might be wrong.

The best time to do this is while I’ve still got hands on the snake and can properly check it over.

I’m not showing off, and I’m not trying to over-handle the snake.

I’m making sure the snake is healthy and fit to be released.

Another pair of male Coastal Carpet Pythons fighting over a female inside a roof in Coolum! 🐍🐍🐍

It’s definitely that time of year again. The warmer weather is bringing out plenty of breeding activity and I’m starting to get more and more calls about multiple pythons turning up together.

Thanks to my customer for filming this while I was on the way to remove them. It’s not every day you get to see two big male pythons going at it like this! 😁

And yes, that was a female in there waiting for them.
