The GoPro is an incredibly versatile action camera that provides quality video and images. One of the great feature of the GoPro 3 onwards is that it has built in WiFi (Wireless). This means that any Android or IOS device with WiFi is able to not just control the camera remotely, but also view the live footage on screen. There is however a big limita

tion on WiFi. It doesn’t work underwater! WiFi signals may travel some 10-30m in the atmosphere but the range underwater is about 1cm. This is where the GoPro WiFi Extension Cable (GPWEXC) comes in. The GPWEXC is a special cable that contains a GoPro waterproof housing and attached to a cable which extends to the user on the surface. It comes in various depth and length configuration, and is all custom made to order. There are also a standard duty and a heavy duty variant.
