✨ A New Chapter for Barefoot & Windswept ✨

Almost a year ago, I lost my original business page, the heart of Barefoot & Windswept. Since then, it’s been a mission to rebuild, reconnect, and get back to full capacity. Today, we sit at about a third of where we once were.

It’s been a real struggle, and after much thought, I’ve made the decision to wind down Barefoot & Windswept.

This doesn’t mean goodbye. I will still be capturing family sessions from time to time and creating the images I truly love, but photography will no longer be my full time position. My heart will always belong to documenting life’s special moments and I will continue to pour my passion into what I do capture.

I am endlessly grateful for every opportunity, every celebration and every story I’ve been trusted to tell, not just under Barefoot & Windswept, but right back to my early beginnings with Flick plus Dave, all those years ago.

This is not the end, just a gentle slowing down. All current bookings and weddings will go ahead exactly as planned and I can’t wait to celebrate them with you.

Thank you for supporting B&W and me. For your trust, your love, and for letting me show you all the world I see, one beautiful frame at a time.

Letting go of one of my beautiful lenses as I start to downsize my gear a little.

This Nikon 85mm f/1.8 has had very minimal use and is in excellent condition, both optically and physically. It’s sharp, fast, and delivers that gorgeous creamy bokeh that makes portraits absolutely sing. A true favourite in the portrait and wedding world, and for good reason.

Clean glass – no scratches, haze, or fungus
Smooth focus ring + snappy aperture blades
Includes front/rear caps + hood
Always stored safely in a padded case
Compatible with FX (full frame) and DX (crop sensor) Nikon DSLRs

Married on the 12th of July 2025 in the breathtaking hills of Wilmot, surrounded by misty mountains and the warmth of those who matter most.

In an intimate ceremony filled with love and laughter, they said “I do” with their two beautiful boys by their side, the sweetest little witnesses to a forever beginning.

Congratulations Alex and Crystal, wishing you a wonderful forever ❤️

Being a Mum and Dad of Boys… it’s like caring for a mess with legs, a crazy kind of perfection.

There’s a wild, beautiful kind of chaos in raising boys.
It’s muddy boots, constant noise, endless snacks, and questions that start with “what if…”.
It’s scraped knees, LEGO underfoot, and hearts so big they knock the wind out of you.

Being parents of boys means being their safe place, their teacher, their constant.
It’s messy. It’s magic.
And you wouldn’t trade it for the world.

My love for a good black and white 👌🖤

There’s something timeless about stripping back the colour and letting the moment speak for itself.
Black and white takes away all the distractions, the noise, the clutter and what’s left is so emotive.
A glance. A touch. A breath held still in time.

It’s not just a photo, it’s a story.
Uncomplicated. Honest. Raw.

That’s why I’ll always come back to black and white, because it doesn’t just show you what happened, it makes you feel it.

A celebration of the final weeks before they met their little love.

What I love most is capturing the moment people don’t just stand in a landscape, they become part of it.
Not placed, but woven in.

Wild spaces. Effortless environments.
This never feels like work.

These sessions are few and far between, but they’re the very heart of Barefoot and Windswept.

A childhood home, a love that’s free and dreams that are crazy wild.
Nestled in the stillness of the bush, this little corner of the world holds stories stitched into the rust and roots.
They danced through ferns, strummed out old songs, and wore the kind of joy that doesn’t age.
Some places just feel like love is loud, colours are wild, and time kindly pauses for a while.

It’s that quiet, inbetween time of year here at Barefoot & Windswept, the kind of quiet that invites reflection. Since losing my original page (and with it, much of my portfolio), it’s been a journey to rebuild and be seen again.
So, over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite sessions from the past. These are the moments that truly capture what Barefoot & Windswept is all about.. connection, freedom, the magic in the little things, and the beauty of being your unapologetic self.
These images are my heart. I hope they find a place in yours too.

These years full of sticky fingers, wild imaginations, and endless love are the kind of chaos you will miss one day. So for now take your time, play, laugh and hold them close.
