Three hours sleep. Leaking milk. Reminding yourself to drink water.

Newborn photos are the last freaking thing on your mind.

You feel like a shadow of yourself. You keep checking to see if they're breathing. You're googling "is it normal to still be sore after birth" at 4am.

And right now, it can feel like the hardest thing you've ever done.

But one day you're going to want to remember this. Yes — even the extra tummy from growing a whole human.

How do I know? Because I've been there. Three times in fact. And I've photographed hundreds of mums who've said the same thing:

We want to remember this.

Smelling their beautiful head. Nap trapped on the couch while they sleep on your shoulder. The tiny outfits on the clothesline. Their little face in the bassinet when you first wake up.

I blame the oxytocin. Take me back to the newborn stage any day.

I can't go back to mine. But the photos I have of my babies? They get more precious every single year.

You don't have to feel ready. You just have to let me capture it.

Because one session isn't enough to remember this beautiful season, every package is a bundle — two sessions for the price of one.

Three ways to work with me (your maybe newborn photographer?).

One of the questions I get asked most often by parents is where to have their newborn photoshoot?

And it really comes down to preference (and how ready you are to leave the comfort of your own home).

There really is no right place - I'll make sure your experience feels relaxed, captures all your baby's tiny details and that massive amount of love you feel.

And if you can't decide - all my packages include two sessions.

Whether you choose to have a maternity session now and a newborn session once they're here.

OR capture all the details of their first hours in hospital and their first month milestone at home.

Because you can't have enough portraits of them as a newborn (as a mum of three, I know!).

Get in touch to book your sessions today.

My biggest kept secret? You don't have to choose between a studio session and an outdoor one.

The studio sits on a working mango orchard. Which means you get both. Soft, controlled light inside for the portraits you'll frame. And then, when you're ready, we step out into something completely different - open air, dappled natural light, mango trees as far as you can see. Two worlds, one session. (And you didn't have to drive anywhere else to get there.)

But here's what I love most about this. For a few hours, this whole place is yours. No one needs anything from you. You're not someone's partner, someone's mother, someone's employee. You're somewhere beautiful, almost there, with nothing to do but breathe it in. The baby's still inside. This is one of the last moments that's entirely, quietly yours - and we're going to photograph it like it deserves.

Pregnancy goes fast even when it feels slow. The tiredness is real, the to-do list is real, and somehow the weeks disappear anyway. A maternity session here gives you somewhere to land - even just for a morning. A reason to stop. To breathe. To be in the moment long enough to actually feel it, not just survive it.

And then you get to keep it.

I'm the photographer who...
..gently sweeps your hair out of your eyes because I know you'll want to see the look on your face when you're gazing at your baby.
..has absolutely no shame when it comes to making funny noises, dancing around or playing ridiculous games if it means your toddler has the best time.
..notices the little things. The dimpled hand tangled in your hair. The way the afternoon light wraps around your bump. The tiny dimples in your newborn's cheeks.
..takes the time to learn why these portraits matter to you. What you want to remember about this season of your life.

So I can capture the memories you're already holding onto...
..and the ones you don't even realise you'll miss one day.

And I'm the photographer who believes your photographs deserve more than sitting on a hard drive.

They deserve to be turned into the album your children will flip through one day...

Or the frame you'll walk past every morning that instantly takes you back to this season of your life.

The hardest part about childhood is that you never realise you're saying goodbye to a season until it's already gone.

If you've been thinking about family photos, don't wait for 'someday'. I'd love to help you remember this chapter exactly as it is.

The photos you'll treasure most probably aren't the ones you think.

It's not that the photos of everyone looking at the camera don't have their place (yes, I know Nanna wants one for the fridge).

It's just that they rarely become the photos people treasure most.

When people ask me which portraits they should choose for their walls, I always say the same thing - choose the ones that make you feel 'joy' instantly.

The one where great-great-grandma can't stop looking at her beautiful great-great-granddaughter.

The one where your cheeky toddler refuses to sit still, so you swoop him through the air and suddenly everyone is laughing.

Or my favourite...the moment Dad pulls his baby in for one of those big squeezes that feels like love pouring out of you.

Because years from now, it won't be everyone's 'cheese' face you miss.

It'll be your toddler's dimpled hand in yours.

The way your family laughed together.

The way five generations gathered in one room to welcome the newest little member of the family.

If I could turn back time, I'd go back to lying on the couch with my daughter when she was just days old...

Even if it was only for five more minutes.

I'd breathe in that newborn smell one more time.

Or I'd rewind to hear my six-month-old son belly laughing with his brother and sister.

I'd scoop them up, kiss their cheeks and hold them for just a little longer.

But the closest thing I have to time travel is my photos.

They take me back to what it felt like to love them in that moment.

To the mum who thinks it's not worth it...

It's your second or third baby, so you've convinced yourself you don't need maternity photos this time.

But what about you?

The mum who's packing lunchboxes, wiping bums ;), hearing "Mum!" a hundred times a day and growing a whole new little person at the same time.

When was the last time you stopped long enough to think about what your body is doing?

To slow down.

To enjoy the last week with the little love who is going to become a baby brother or sister.

To do something that's just for you.

Because one day you'll show your baby this photo and tell them what it felt like when they kicked every night. How you wondered who they would be. How excited you were to finally meet them.

And you'll realise these photos are not just about the bump, they're about celebrating the woman who's carrying it all.

When it's your last baby and all you can think is...

'I wish I could remember every tiny detail of this moment with you.'

You've already been there - you've navigated learning how to look after your first baby, then learnt how to juggle a toddler and a newborn...

By the time the third arrives, it feels like they just slot in.

And you already know how quickly it's going to go.

And despite making sure you soak it all in, it's gone in a heartbeat. Your little one now grown and you witnessed the whole thing...

And yet, at the same time, it feels like you missed it.

Fresh 48 sessions are a beautiful way to capture your little love at the smallest they'll ever be.

To remember the first time their siblings met their little wonder.

To hold onto all the love you have for them, the moments of motherhood you'll want to return to again and again.

And the very beginning of your family as you now know it.

This is your chance to make the memories of them last.

Reach out if you'd love a fresh 48 session for your family.

Are you 28-35 weeks pregnant and wanting to remember the beginning of your motherhood journey?

I'm looking for a mumma who would love to have this time preserved with beautiful portraits at my Alton Downs studio.

You don't need to know how to pose. I'll guide the session, so you'll feel confident and relaxed.

If you're wanting to remember the feeling of your little one tucked inside, giving you a kick in the ribs every now and then.

Celebrate the joy, the changes and the days before your household gets even more hectic.

And take a moment to really slow down and enjoy this time with your baby, then please get in touch.

As a thank you for your time, you'll be gifted a full gallery of digital portraits.

Please pass this onto any of your mumma friends who would love this gift.

You don't feel like yourself anymore.

Your body's changing every day.

Your ankles are swollen. None of your clothes fit quite right. And the thought of standing in front of a camera sounds like the last thing you want to do.

But...

You still want to remember this time.

You want to remember the afternoons spent on the couch after work, watching their little feet pressing against your belly, as if they're dying to start running.

That moment you hang all the tiny outfits on the clothesline and can't help but stare at them in wonder... Will they really be that small?

How everything suddenly feels exciting, and somehow every conversation comes back to the little person you're about to meet.

It's the beginning.

The beginning of becoming a mum.

Their mum.

The little darling you haven't met yet, but already feel so deeply connected to.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn't even want my mum to take a photo of me.

I didn't feel like I looked good. I didn't feel like myself. (Mostly because my ankles were swollen half the time and I felt so stiff.)

But now I look back at those photos she snapped on her phone, and I'm so grateful she did.

Because despite all the insecurities I felt at the time, all I see now is...
the excitement.
The anticipation.
The love for a little girl I hadn't even met yet.

That's why I believe so strongly in documenting pregnancy.

And you don't have to know how to pose or worry about feeling awkward. That's what I'm here for.

I'll guide you every step of the way so you can simply be present while we create photographs that feel like you.

Whether that's curled up on the couch at home, wandering through your favourite outdoor spot together, or in the studio before you return with your beautiful new baby for your newborn session.

We'll tell your story in a way that feels real, relaxed and completely yours.

If you're expecting a baby and you've been putting off maternity photos because you don't feel confident, I'd love to show you that you don't have to feel like a model to have photographs you'll treasure forever.

You just have to show up.
I'll take care of the rest. 🤍
