Another little trip into the Pokolbin Mountains

A little bit moody up there in the Pokolbin Mountains this morning. It's always nice to get up there during the week and have the place to yourself.

Fog rolling in thick and fast while we were up at the lookout and was worse on the way down the mountain. I may or may not have found the mud a little too slippery and painted my pants with it getting the last few photos.

Flexy-ish for a shopping trolley!

I had mixed thoughts heading to my favourite little part of the world, I think because the car is so nice, modern and plush on the inside that you could easily forget it's a very capable 4x4.

Absolutely walked up everything with ease and it should. The addition of Crawl Control now almost makes it too easy but really lets you focus on line choice and your surroundings more.

NB - Peep my very patient wife who is forever waiting for me to get back in the car and continue driving.

C'mon... We all know it wasn't going to stay stock for long.

There's still a few bits and pieces to do while I work out exactly how I want this thing set up, exterior wise it's very close to finished.

New Mum-bus for Dad!

Honestly, this thing is lightyears ahead in terms of comfort, features and handling. Power delivery is nothing short of outstanding compared to the old girl.

The Tenere no longer has an identity crisis!

Long time coming putting the new decals on, I think I'd been put off for a while thinking they were going to be incredibly difficult when in reality they were quite easy to work with and went on without too much effort.

Unfortunately the debut photo ride was cut short as the youngest has decided to join the X-games today without telling us and her 3rd incident of the day was headbutting the entertainment unit splitting under her lip open. Fortunately she's all good!

Anyway, was lucky enough to get out, do a few jumps, skids and scope a cool little side trail and snap a few shots that ended up being pretty decent.

Keen to put more than 20 mins in the seat next time though and find some better spots.

I still think the bashplate needs to be black...

We finally got out to do some exploring again, this time all the way out to Lightning Ridge.

In typical fashion only for a few nights and tried to see everything touristy we could. Camera didn't come out much except for a couple of cracker sunsets.

I think we need to head back for longer next time and lick some rocks for a few days!

Hey guys and girls,

Life has been getting in the way of photography quite a bit lately, the breaks between posts keep getting longer and longer! I'm lucky enough to be able to get out and about on the new beast once every week or thereabouts provided.

Anyways, check out the new (to me) Tenere 700 - went used as it was priced well and sitting there, already had a fair bit of fruit including the suspension done for my weight too which was a bonus.

Of course I've added a few more bits and pieces for a better fit since owning it, definitely a big step up from the baby KTM!
