Magical sunset from the top of Helen and Aurora (Bungalbin) ranges. They are one of my favourite spots in the eastern goldfields and have been called by many "one of the most significant biodiversity assets in WA". Mining has been proposed in the region but has been widely opposed - and rejected by EPA but an appeal is still ongoing.

Winter in the Chittering Valey

This beautiful valley - right at Perth's doorstep is blossoming nicely with the winter rains. I have decided not to neglect the Perth country surrounds this year and take some photographs. This one captures a lot of elements of the Chittering valley - vineyards, cattle , white rocks, red earth and trees on the rolling hills.

It occurred to us that the portraiture and pre-wedding work - which is often lovely has never been featured, either here or on the website. Maybe time to rectify this a little. Here's gorgeous Michelle ! Michelle loves outdoors - so what better place to photograph her then a country farm .

Introducing fb.com/scorchedtracks !

As some of you may remember,a long long time ago, Our Filip Welna photography webpage housed some of my landscape photography work. In the update however all non wedding related work was removed. Well, it is slowly making it way back. I have started a project entitled “Scorched Tracks” which is devoted to the outback Western Australia. In particular I wanted to document places little less known and outside of the usual tourist destinations. The material is slowly (I try to post a photograph every couple of days) making its way to the page fb.com/scorchedtracks, while a new web page www.scorchedtracks.com is also being created to display the material. Do note that the project it is not strictly about fine-art landscape photography, but also a photographic record of places, people and adventures. I also try to provide some extra touring information where applicable. While I will initially cross post some of this work here, if you are interested, please go to fb.com/scorchedtracks, like the page and help to share it around ! Should you be interested in some of those prints framed as a house decoration - we could also arrange that :)
