At the end of each year I like to reflect on the year that was...

2025 was definitely a year of ups and downs. You may have noticed I have been really quiet on social media - it's what I do when things aren't going great. There have been some really tough times but there have also been some incredible moments of connection and fun! I will say it has ended much better than it started so I am cautiously optimistic of what 2026 will bring.

If you’ve ever worried your kids won’t sit still for photos, an outdoor session with me might be exactly what you need! Fresh air, space to move, and no pressure to “behave” means your children can just be themselves. Running, exploring, cuddling in close when they feel like it.

Outdoors, there’s room for real moments to unfold. The hand holding. The giggles. The quiet pauses you don’t realise you’ll miss one day.

Because every moment matters—both in your family and in the world 💛✨

I've been thinking a lot lately about legacy and how to make a difference in the world, using the skills I have. The fact that so many women aren't safe in their own homes, at the hands of their partner just breaks my heart. So I've decided to hold a day of family photo mini sessions, to raise money for the White Ribbon Foundation, helping to end violence against women.

These short and sweet sessions are perfect for capturing the love, laughter, and little details of your family—because we all know how fast these days slip away. And even better? Part of your session fee goes directly to supporting a cause that protects and empowers women and families. Why would you have an in-home session? I can think of 3 reasons off the top of my head (although I am sure there are plenty more):

1. Comfortable & Real – Your home is where your family feels most relaxed, allowing for natural interactions and genuine emotions. Kids can play with their favourite toys, snuggle on the couch, and just be themselves without the pressure of being somewhere new and unfamiliar.

The kids are back at school and I was thinking over the holidays about why it's so important to me to document life in all it's raw beauty.

1. **Time moves way too fast** – One minute they’re tiny, holding your hand everywhere, and the next, they’re too busy with their own little worlds. Having those everyday moments captured means you can always look back and remember what this season of life really felt like.

2. **You’re always the one taking the photos** – And let’s be honest, it’s usually on your phone, in bad lighting, and you’re not even in them. Having someone else capture your family means you finally get to be part of the memories too.

3. **The little things matter most** – The way your child’s nose crinkles when they laugh, how they rest their head on your shoulder when they’re tired—these are the things you think you’ll never forget, but they fade over time. Photos and films bring them back in a way nothing else can.

4. **It’s not about perfection** – It’s not about matching outfits and forced smiles. It’s about your family just as you are—messy, loving, real. And that’s what makes it so special.

5. **One day, these will mean everything** – For you, for your kids, maybe even for their kids. These moments are your story and they deserve to be remembered.
