My first commerical shoot 💛
Katherine (of the Brown Family Wine Group) & I met one Friday morning, over a coffee in the Brown Brother restaurant. Admist connecting the dots between people we know in Oxley, Katherine shared details of the Tamar Ridge winery & Pirie Tasmania brand.
Following the meeting & carrying a case of wine to my car, I drove 10mins down the room to my house, where I spent the rest of the day (and subsequent evenings) learning about the tasting notes of the wines and food pairings.
As my notes emerged from scribbles, to lists of food, props & location ideas, the scenes began to take shape.
I raided kitchen cabinets, friend's homes for wine glasses (and a champagne wine bucket), my dad's shed (and wood pile) and carried far too many things from my car, to the location(s)
But, the hardest part, honestly- was getting 'models' for the shoot. Thankfully, I had the lovely Hayley Glover & my dad step in to be my hand/ body models when needed.
This particular shot, was taken at my parents house, one Saturday morning as my kids ate copious amounts of snacks.
I love these images.
Not only are they my first commerical work, but they also show how far my editing has grown (wine bottles are no jokes when it comes to reflections/ specks of dust).
Oh & fun fact- I styled every since look myself
