“When we started writing ‘Dust & Liquid’ clubs were mostly closed… [so, we] spent weekends outside bushwalking or camping. Being able to be outdoors and camping after lockdown had an impact and we appreciated those moments when we were finally able to get into the studio again” -

interviews 2-piece live electronic duo Hybrid Man about their latest release ‘Dust and Liquid’ on local party peddlers turned record label ❣️

“Dancing under the moonlight amid the sweet sweat of the humid forest, Merve’s blends of acid-bush-techno momentarily transported me home. At the same time, the projections morphed swirling colours into pulsating dots, an evocative reminder of the so-called Aus landscape”

This piece is the second of a 2-part series documenting Australian artists at festivals abroad. This time at Singapore’s first camping music festival - .

Call for ceasefire as an URGENT but TEMPORARY solution. The end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid of Gaza and Palestine must follow.

Don’t sit back - use your voice. The West IS complicit. The UK started this, the US profits from war and destabilisation in the ME - vetoing the ‘humanitarian pause’ UN resolution. Australia funds the state of Israel. Events of the last week are enough proof of the racism running rampant here.

If you think that Israel has the right to defend itself but not the same of Palestine - whose people who have been living in an open-air prison for 16 years under a blockade since 2007, who have been under occupation since 1948’s nakba - please re-consider your values.

The state of Israel PAYS influencers, students, people to be vocally pro-Israel. Think of how corrupt the rest of state-run media is, consider where you get your news from, who funds it, who profits.

Speak up against genocide, against the illegitimate state. Ignorance is choosing the side of the oppressor.

Attend the rally at 12pm tomorrow in Naarm at the State Library of Victoria - every Sunday. And on Wednesday Blak & Palestinian Solidarity rally at 6pm at Parliament House.

Ruth Katerelos' debut play ‘Woman with a Tomahawk’ is a poignant piece of theatre, asking the question: how do we evolve through trauma?

Opening to a full audience at on Wednesday night, Woman With a Tomahawk has already established itself as a groundbreaking piece of feminist theatre unafraid to pursue a difficult conversation around violence and mental illness. Written by therapist Ruth Katerelos, the play takes a cast of fierce women (Alana Louise, Nisha Marie Joseph and Katerelos herself) to share a story of grit and womanhood in the face of trauma.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Ruth on all things theatre and mental health.
