🏍️ THE GANG IS A FINALIST!

Absolutely stoked that our little film has been selected as a finalist at The Perfect Light Film Festival in Broken Hill!

Broken Hill is one of my favourite places on earth and I’m bummed I can’t make it out there to see The Gang up on the big screen. .

If you’re in Broken Hill please get along, support the festival and watch some incredible Australian short films. 🎬

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who helped bring The Gang to life. Pretty bloody exciting!

Aiza, aged care nurse and after-work memory maker.

A little film we created in Goulburn for the NSW Government’s Make the Move campaign.

At its heart, this was not really a story about work. It was about what life can look like after work.

A quieter pace. A walk to the park. Scooters along the river. Feeding the ducks. More time together as a family.

That was the feeling we wanted to capture.

Because sometimes the best way to encourage someone to make the move is to help them picture the life waiting for them.

Really loved creating this one.

I made this 60-second film for Faber years ago, and I think it was one of the jobs that made me fall in love with telling these kinds of stories.

Quality. Workmanship. Legacy.

People who really know their craft and care about doing things properly.

They’re themes I still love exploring today.

It’s never just about what a business makes. It’s about the people, knowledge and years of work behind it.

The best wine tours aren’t really about the itinerary.

They’re about the laughs on the bus. The stories shared along the way. And the moment a group of strangers starts to feel like old mates.

That’s what we wanted to capture for HV Tours.

Julie and her team have created an experience that feels personal, relaxed and genuinely local—from the first pickup to the final drop-off.

So we focused the film on the feeling of the day. The hospitality. The new friendships. And all those little moments between stops that make a day in the Hunter Valley memorable.

Your story. Beautifully told.

Sometimes a new career starts with someone showing you what’s possible.

We recently spent the day at TAFE Tighes Hill creating this film for Career Links’ EmpowerHER program.

The program supports women exploring careers in civil construction and engineering, industries where they’ve traditionally been underrepresented.

What I loved about this project was hearing the women speak honestly about the skills they had learned, the confidence they had gained and where they hoped to go next.

A really meaningful story to help tell.

Your story. Beautifully told.

A really lovely little story to tell.

Spent the day with the Griffiths family at Reo Grande Babydoll Sheep Stud, hearing how it all started and seeing what they’ve built together as a family.

This is the kind of work I love most. Getting to spend time with good people, learn what matters to them, and help turn that into something they can share with others.

It also helps when the office for the day is a paddock full of ridiculously cute Babydoll sheep.

Friendly, great with families and basically little automatic lawnmowers.

Safe to say I was in my element.

Such a fun one to make.

Hats, lights, berries and microalgae.

Not a bad couple of days on the road.

We covered around 1,000 kilometres in 40 hours, following the North Coast Trade Mission through some incredible regional NSW businesses.

From watching an Akubra pass through dozens of skilled hands in Kempsey, to seeing world-class lighting made in Bellingen, berry innovation at Costa Group and microalgae production at SeaO2 Nutrition.

Four completely different businesses, all doing seriously impressive things from regional NSW.

This is the kind of work I love. Getting behind the scenes, meeting passionate people and showing what’s happening in places most people rarely get to see.

Here’s a little look at the trip 🎥

Last Friday was a pretty special night at the Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards.

Coal & Wine Creative was lucky enough to receive Highly Commended in the General Business Category.

The room was packed with around 400 local business people. Founders, teams, operators, creators and hard working people who have all taken a leap in one way or another. It was super inspiring to see the huge scope of businesses doing great things across our region.

Massive thanks to for putting on such a brilliant evening, to for the phenomenal hospitality, and to , who was an absolute highlight as MC.

Very grateful to be part of this business community and excited to keep building.

JUSTIN FROM TEGAMI MOTORCYCLES APPRECIATION POST 🏍️🔥

A massive thank you to and .moto for everything he did to help bring The Gang to life.

Justin put in a huge amount of time, effort and energy behind the scenes. Late nights fitting tow bars, fixing bikes, getting them ready.

He didn’t just help out himself. He leaned on mates, called in favours, rallied people together and helped make all the riding scenes happen.

Thanks to all the legends who came out on the day, giving up their valuable time to dress in pink and do a few laps.

Justin went above and beyond just to help a creative vision come to life and it’s appreciated beyond what words can express.

When you’re making something like this, people like Justin are the difference between an idea staying in your head and it actually making it onto screen.

So grateful for the support, generosity and belief in the project.

Thanks Justin, I couldn’t have done it without you.

The Gang is out now.
