Avoid the thoughts and feelings of "I'm just not cutting it with my visuals". Be confident that the quality of your visual content supports the quality of

service/product you provide. Some other reasons to have a photo session with me - tired and stale photos; new hairstyle, glasses, body; new business/venture; time for a pivot; outstanding business growth; going next level. Don't put off today what may have needed to be done yesterday and can be achieved tomorrow (or a subsequent day). Coupled with this I also thrive with taking photos For Nostalgia's Sake/Seniors Photography:

- High School pre-Formal sessions
- Elderly Family Members either individually or with family members. I have worked with Aged Care Facilities in photographing residents to create keepsakes for family members and am looking to expand this.

A broader way of seeing

For a long time, much of my photography has centred around people — portraits, branding and the stories we create through images.

But photography has always been about more than that for me.
Lately, I've found myself looking differently at the places around me. The architecture. The lines and spaces. The movement of a city. Light falling across buildings. The quiet moments that can exist within somewhere that is constantly moving.

Brisbane has become a particularly interesting place to explore this.

These three images were made from very different perspectives, but they are all part of the same fascination — looking beyond the obvious and trying to capture something of the feeling of a place.
Perhaps this is less a change of direction and more an expansion of where photography can take me.

I'm enjoying discovering what happens when I slow down, look a little longer, and become a discoverer of the places around me.

What do you see when you become a discoverer of a place?

ANOTHER MILESTONE REACHED - Woohoo!

I'm incredibly proud to have passed the Final Exam for Serge Ramelli's Institute of Photography – Master of Photography.

When I enrolled, I expected to tweak and refine what I already knew, including techniques and editing practices. What I didn't expect was just how much I would be challenged.

Each lesson followed a demanding cycle: learn the concepts, head out and put them into practice, submit the work for assessment, receive detailed feedback, refine the images, and do it all again. It was a continual process of learning, improving and growing. It was enjoyable and I got to spend some of the best times of the day out and about.

Then came the Final Exam.

The standard required to pass was another level entirely. Three photographs had to meet a magazine-cover standard, with every aspect of the image scrutinised - and yes, every aspect was scrutinised!

I began the course thinking I'd probably breeze through it. I finished it coming to realise something much more valuable: a beautiful reminder that no matter how much we learn, there's always room to grow.

These are the three photographs that earned the pass.
I'm grateful to Serge Ramelli and the Institute for creating a program that challenged me to grow as a photographer. I'm also grateful to have been able to travel and explore some cities where I was able to create two of the photographs for the Final Exam.

I'm excited to keep building on what I've learned.

The journey continues.

“Keep going” is sometimes easier to say than do. Yes, it helps to assess and evaluate along the way and perhaps finding alternative routes or processes on the way. Reaching a milestone or achieving a goal can be such a point of celebration as you know what it took to get there. Persistence and resilience are with you on the journey.

Enjoy the moment!
