Sooo we took our own engagement photos…👀
For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of a misty, rainy shoot, frolicking with Zac amongst rolling hills and long grass.
And it just so happened that the day after Zac proposed, we found ourselves in a new town, sightseeing at a Fox Glacier / Franz Josef lookout with clouds rolling in and fog settling around us.
We’d already done a couples shoot the day before (pre-proposal; which just so happened to be super special, as our last one as boyfriend and girlfriend 🤭), but we didn’t have this magical weather I’d spent years dreaming about.
So of course, when I mentioned to Zac that this was the perfect opportunity to finally take my dream photos (with the added bonus of now being a fiancée 💅), he was all in.
The only problem? Our clothes were wrinkled and stained from the day before, after being shoved into the campervan from us assuming we wouldn’t need them again. And with no power in the van, to connect an iron, I immediately thought:
Dream over, sis 💔
But one thing you need to know about Zac is that he is resourceful 🤏🏻🤏🏻🤏🏻
Before I knew it, he was boiling pots of water and using them to iron my dress and his pants.
PS. It worked like a charm.
Then we headed out into an open field nearby, dodged cow sh*t, ran back and forth a million times to set the camera timer, laughed until our cheeks hurt, and somehow…
Zaccy made yet another one of my dreams come true. 🏔️🤍💭
I’m so lucky to have you, darling.
One lifetime will never be enough 🤍
Ps. Taking your own photos is HARD - peep the last slide for bloopers 🤭
