A Heritage Weekend indeed!

Here we see SteamRail's T356 and V/line's A66 in its classic tangerine livery running a tour up to Murchison East as the Goulburn Valley Diesel Explorer at two locations, the first one being just before Donnybrook and the 2nd being in Broadford.

Here's a bit of a sad sight to see.

Four Pacific National Locomotives have been parked up in one of the deadend roads of the Melbourne Freight Terminal, Pacific National's home base of mainly Intermodal traffic from all major cities. PN Have shelved the four locomotives either temporarily or because of mechanical problems. here sits in order, G542, G537, AN1 and XR555. The Fates of these locomotives are currently unknown.

This aircraft has been specially painted to represent the UEFA Champions League which is an annual top league of soccer that mainly plays in Europe.

Something a bit special,
Melbourne's next era of trams has arrived in the form of the "G" Class Alstom Flexity 2 trams, designed to replace the older High Floor trams such as the Z and A Class trams on the routes 57, 59 and 82 and provide a full low floor experience, and is seen getting put through its paces on some tests on the St Kilda Light Rail.

A Nice Bit of Melbourne's interesting side of the railways is the Infrastructure Evaluation side of Metro, with these two "P Class" Locomotives owned by SSR (Southern Shorthaul Railroad) operating what is Metro's "EVIE" Carriage, designed to scan for track and overhead faults around Melbourne's inner and outer networks.

Bit of a memory jogger this one from a not so long ago era that all but seems finished now!

Comeng 538M approaches Dandenong Station on a Flinders Street Service from Cranbourne.

Nowadays, these services are fully run by the High Capacity Metro Train, but very rarely do they operate the "Siemens" Type stock and the "Comeng" stock in emergency / rare cases.
