DRONE RECOVERY MISSION🚁

A few weeks back, I got my drone stuck in a tree on my last shoot of the day. A really tall tree. Right at the end of the day. Just my luck.

With no idea what to do, and with daylight coming to an end, I worked out that the only person who can really help is an arborist.

I was put on to Michael from , and Michael advised that unfortunately my drone would have to spend the night up in that tree, as it's a safety issue climbing at night.

I literally spent a couple of hours trying to throw a ball up at this thing in the hope that I'd be able to knock it down and catch it or something... Boy was I wrong.

So first thing in the morning, I met Michael in East Melbourne on site, praying that my drone didn't get wet from any rain or dew (it dropped to 9 degrees overnight, which is pretty reasonable for Melbourne!)

I decided to bring my camera along, as I was genuinely curious on how he'd fetch this thing down, plus I thought hey this would be a cool video to shoot anyway.

And this is the result.

So, if you ever get a drone stuck up in a tree, or a ball, cat, bird, anything really - get in touch with Michael from . He's your man!
