I was out at a running event over the weekend and came across one of my favourite stories of the morning.

Out on course, I bumped into my mate Blake, who was there supporting Aadi with the Achilles Melbourne crew.

I didn’t know much about Achilles before this, but seeing the teamwork between Aadi and his guides was genuinely special. The communication, trust and awareness involved in guiding a marathon is something I hadn’t really appreciated until I saw it up close.

Big respect to Aadi, Blake, JJ and everyone involved with Achilles Melbourne.

Training mode with Stacey Hymer.

This was such a fun part of the shoot to capture. Once Stacey got moving, there was a completely different energy to chase — more speed, more focus, and plenty of little moments happening between the bigger ones.

A little look at the process behind a relaxed branding shoot with Stacey Hymer.

This one was a team effort, which made the whole shoot feel easy, collaborative and genuinely fun. There was plenty of walking, chatting, laughing, adjusting, trying things, and finding those natural moments in between.

That’s the kind of environment I love being part of — low-pressure, creative, and focused on helping the person in front of the camera feel comfortable while still getting the shots they need.

Now that Stacey has released the branding images, it’s nice to finally share a bit more from the day.

A look inside a Victorian Institute of Sport Taekwondo training session.

Fast, focused and full of intent — from the explosive moments on the mats to the quieter details between rounds, this is a small glimpse into the environment these athletes and coaches are building.

There’s so much more to taekwondo than the moments people see in competition. It’s preparation, repetition, coaching, recovery, discipline and the focus to keep showing up.

A sport well worth watching.

A different kind of fight night 🥊

Had the chance to photograph Skye Nicolson for her Elite Access Athlete Experience with Everlast at Chapel Boxing.

The night featured a fireside chat, Q&A in the ring, and some live sparring — a chance to capture more than just the athlete, but the mindset, presence, and moments behind the gloves.
