It’s easy to get carried away with what looks good. Where the light hits the best, the smooth pan shot or the epic drone footage. I’m guilty of this! Aesthetics are important but never at the expense of a persons story. Most people don’t care about your camera (unless you’re Uncle Bob). They only want to know that they’ll be heard, seen and understood. That what matters most to them, as a couple, will be captured.

Making a wedding film for two filmmakers (and just general cinema industry badasses) is both a privilege and a challenge. It really helps when there’s trust, connection and friendship. This is what I hope to build with couples so their wedding is captured in the most authentic way that’s real for them.
