Okay folks,

Some big news...

As many of you know this has gone from just me doing Matricks photography to Matricks Media. The reason for this change was to venture into other areas of art. I have tried photography, videos and production.

What I haven't tried is painting and due to my patience levels I won't be.

It is with this that I share my great news.

Matrick Media have formed and international collaborative with Eder Barcellos all the way from wonderful Brazil.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Eder on several occasions and am glad to finally make this announcement.

Eder is such an amazing artist and offers prints for various prices of his original paintings (which he also offers for great prices).

He is a specialist in painting motorsport themed occasions and will be more than happy to discuss specific paintings or prints for what you're after.

Be sure to tell him Matricks sent you.

Last night I had the chance to go and see in Melbourne. Is always a great night and had the chance to catch up with the very talented one man band was awesome to catch up again.

This is a truly great performer and even after I shoved a 360 camera in the middle of his act he saw it and couldn't help having some fun.

Excuse the distortion on the pic (he's head really isn't as big as his body) but this is an example of a fluke. The performer was having fun with the camera, the crowd were clapping along and having a good dance and the fire towers just added to the pic.

As some of you know, photography isn't my full time job. I work out at the airport and it's pretty good because sometimes it gives me the opportunity to go and get pics like this.

Etihad Airlines with their 787 dreamliner arrived in the early morning light sitting on D9 at Melbourne airport.

Last Saturday we had the amazing opportunity of taking a Brighton Beach box joyflight with Lovel and the crew at Melbourne Heli. Not only did we get to see some amazing sights across Melbourne on such a magnificent day but their willingness to add a couple of extra laps around the Albert Park gp track added just that little bit more.

Meet Julius, the Californian Fur seal. One of the attractions you get to meet for the "upclose seal encounter" at SeaWorld up on the gold coast.

Weighing in at a whopping 260kgs this fella is absolutely amazing to touch and is just as inquisitive about people as we were to him.

If you are up at Sea World l, do yourself a favour and do the seal encounter and tell Julius I said hi.

Somebody once said to me "Shoot for the moon,. At least then if you fall short you'll land amongst the stars".

Decided to shoot the moon instead.

Got myself a new lens which I'm still trying to get the hang of. This has been my first attempt at shooting the moon and I was okay with it. Still some things I need to work on but overall a heap of fun.

Once again my photography has given me the opportunity to do something amazing. Went up in a glider with a mate of mine purely for photos and videos.

If anyone gets that opportunity I can't recommend it enough. Most of the gliding clubs have joy flights available to the public.

Have since printed this out and given a poster to the pilot as a thank you.
