My Major Project
My Mask, My Rights
“My Mask, My Rights” is inspired by the chain of events happening in Hong Kong and Paris. These two cities were marred by daily protest where most protesters don face masks in an attempt to hide their identity from the authorities as a reprisal is common. The governments in Hong Kong and Paris have imposed a ban on donning face masks in public.
“My Mask, My Rights” is a silent protest against the totalitarian governments that denies our basic rights. Donning mask is not proprietary to protesters and we have our rights to don a mask if there is a need. We will reveal our identity to the authorities when we are donning a mask.
