LAST WEEKEND TO VIEW

‘Shifting Impressions’, my solo exhibition - is only open for another two days, this Saturday and Sunday. And if you haven’t already, this is your chance to pop in and see it in person.

The response from visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. “This is Christine’s best work yet - it captures Australia’s bush and landscapes with such depth and beauty - the artwork really looks like paintings with such texture and beautiful colours. I have been to many of the places featured in Christine’s art and felt like I was right back there again”, said one visitor.

An invitation to step into an art exhibition of evocative Australian landscapes seen through a different lens. These works are inspired by Impressionism, influenced by nature and crafted from memory. In this series I layer light, colour and delicate textures to create painterly compositions of an altered, imagined landscape–dissolving realism into atmospheric dreamscapes. ’Shifting Impressions’ is a call to connect with the raw beauty of the land and awaken your own imagination.

LAST DAY TO VISIT AFFORDABLE ART FAIR MELBOURNE

Melbourne seems to be in an art buying frenzy this weekend! And it’s not too late to visit and check out the incredible original art still waiting for a new home. If you don’t already have tickets, you can buy at the door or DM us for complimentary ticket codes.

I’m particularly excited to be exhibiting with In–land gallery, alongside Ben Liney (famous for his hyper realistic mossy rocks) and Lucy Hersey (famous for her delicate landscapes created with earth pigments), both super talented artists with a unique perspective on landscape art. Don’t miss out on seeing our work in-person, because it’s been flying off the walls all weekend. We still have some beautiful pieces left!

See you at the Royal Exhibition Building today Melbourne for the last day of this fabulous fair! See us at STAND E6

I'm super excited to announce that I'll be exhibiting at Affordable Art Fair Melbourne with in–land gallery in just a few weeks.

Art collectors– DM me to subscribe for discounted and complimentary tickets. They are limited, so be quick. Please include your full name and email address.

in–land gallery brings together the work of artists Ben Liney, Christine Goerner and Lucy Hersey. Our practices are rooted in a contemplative connection with the Australian landscape. Through painting, mixed media and photography, we offer a quiet, deliberate response to place: a stillness in tone, a restraint in composition and a reverence for light, texture and form.

We're honoured to be sharing the stage with some of Melbourne’s most exciting galleries at the beautiful heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne. And can’t wait to show all the beautiful new art we’ve been busy creating just for the fair.

Purple - such a beautiful, regal colour palette for this one in my Lake Fyans series. An abstracted landscape with trees and watery textures. Encouraging contemplation and reflection in this watery dreamscape.

It’s easy to get lost in the texture and colours of the outback - which is what my Outback and Beyond series is all about. Even more captivating when viewed from above in this aerial landscape. Take a closer look at the colours of the flora in this dried up creek bed. And looking pretty good as a statement piece too!

Yes, it looks like a painting, but this is actually an aerial photograph taken from a light plane over a salt lake in the Australian outback. The painterly and overlaying chalky textures are the hero in this abstracted landscape - where Nature is creating the brushstrokes. From my Outback and Beyond series.

Artwork with a green palette always complements the view outside, or brings the outside in. This abstracted landscape celebrates the flora and watery textures by the lakeside.
