Joe's Wildlife Pics.

Joe's Wildlife Pics. I enjoy the finer challenges of photography like capturing a bird who sits still for seconds at most. But to capture every detail is my challenge.

Those split second moments that can only be captured once. I also enjoy sports photography for the unique challenges that discipline itself. I take a relaxed method to photography. There's never one hard and fast rule that works every time. If there was everyone would be an expert.

a rare day when the king parrot sits long enough to get a photo. Usually the pesky rainbow lorikeets shoo them off.

So I was pondering how to get the clearer macro shots. Then it hit me. I'd bought macro tubes way back when I'd first got my 450D. So heres a shot, same 70-200 as just before, same 7DmkII but this time with a 36mm ($10) macro tube. I had to use the zoom to focus and hold my breath as even at f5.6 the depth of field is tiny and so touchy.
