While exploring Vancouver Island we booked a stay at the very well regarded Great Bear Lodge in the Great Bear Rainforest.

Was an absolute stunning location with incredible wildlife and phenomenal food.

This is one of the many photos I took from our time there, the greenery is like nothing else, the natural immersion experienced in the wilderness areas of western Canada is a sight that is difficult to comprehend.

One of the most remarkable things you can ever witness is bears when the Salmon is on.

When the bears are feeding, the Ravens are watching…

With so many fish around, the bears are somewhat messy and fussy feeders, often leaving behind plenty of scraps.

The Ravens are always watching and waiting for their moment.

This Raven hit the jackpot with his haul of freshly removed Salmon eggs, a rich and succulent feed.

Vancouver Island, Canada.

So today was absolutely insane on the highest level of insanity… I don’t even know if that makes sense.

This afternoon 𝑱𝒐𝒅𝒊𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒌 and I spent 6hrs in one of the most incredible locations watching a total of 6 black bears fishing along the intertidal zone of Vancouver Island.

I took over 4500 images and a heap of epic slow motion footage.

My camera has officially fallen asleep for the night and I have quickly checked out a couple of shots including this action shot of a Salmon attempting to survive against the odds.

Just when I thought this trip away couldn’t get any better, the nature gods delivered us this epic treat.

HOW GOOD IS NATURE!!!

Harbour Seal.

These chubby chaps were some of my favourite species to come across here in North America.

Often you would see them poking their head out of the water before quickly disappearing and reappearing nearby.

I caught this guy enjoy some UV rays on a nice warm morning in the Great Bear Rainforest, Canada.

Introducing the release of my 2027 Calendar with a gorgeous female Red Kangaroo standing on the stunning country of Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, South Australia.

For the 5th year straight I am proud to announce my 2027 Calendar featuring some of my favourite wildlife captures from this amazing country.

I am currently finalising the design while travelling around North America in a van but I have now opened up pre-orders.

Any pre-order calendar purchase will be posted out in October/November.

Link to purchase in the comments.

Tough conditions for photography but absolutely incredible conditions for memorable Orca encounters.

Yesterday we explored the stunning marine habitat from Port McNeil with Anthony Bucci and witnessed over 10 Orcas just cruising along in their pods.

The sound of their breathing and the district Black and White patterns on a foggy morning was truly incredible.

Life memory locked in.
