Thank all so much for your support of my work, it is very much greatly appreciated. 🙏🙏🙏
I am currently on a road trip, and as I shoot in RAW with the “real camera”, (so shots have to be processed in Adobe Raw) I won’t be uploading any finished images for a little bit, (until I get home), BUT I do have the “real camera” working hard on this trip, to gather more photos to eventually share.
This shot is of my “real camera” at work, this morning, at Lawries Hill Chapel, in SA, built in 1850’s, in 1933 the roof blew off in a violent storm, so it sat derelict, until restored in 1988, for the Bicentennial.

“Jetty under the Milky Way”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

Several shots of the timber jetty under the Milky Way.

1st shot “Night Jetty Panorama” is a five shot panorama.

2nd shot “Ghost under The Stars”, the timber jetty under the stars with a ghostly figure (that’s me) on it.

3rd shot “Star Gazer”, is me again.

4th shot, “Milky Way and the Jetty Pylons”

5th shot shot, “Jetty Under the Stars”, a 3 shot panorama of The Milky Way, sitting high above the timber jetty.

6th, shot, “Pathway to the Stars”.

Please don’t look too closely, the shots do have a lot of digital noise. I should have done at least 10 shots of the sky and then blended them to reduce all that noise. I should also have re-focused the foreground shots. Lots to learn.

“Jetty and Milky Way”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

Timber jetty under the Milky Way.
4 shots of the sky blended in the program Sequator, to reduce noise, and one shot for the jetty which was light painted and the separate shots blended together.
Please don’t zoom in too much, as I needed to shoot the jetty at a lower ISO to reduce the noise and several more sky shots ( 4 not really enough) to blend in Sequator. I also should have re focused on the jetty foreground to make it sharper, rather than shooting everything on “Infinity”, which is fine for the sky shots, but not sharp enough for the foreground.

“The Night Jetties”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

The mystery of walking out along the decking of the jetty, as it disappears into the dark, with not another soul around, the silence only broken with the gentle lapping of the water around the pylons under my feet, the occasional splash of a fish jumping out of the water, the jetties at night have their own magical charm, you can reach out and “feel the serenity”.

“Sunburst Pilings”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

Finally the sun rises from below the horizon, creating a sunburst star from behing the piling, and painting the sky in orange hues which are reflected across the calm waters of Lake King.

“The Pilings”.

“Pre-Dawn Silhouetted Pilings”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

The rising sun, sitting just below the horizon, paints the sky and clouds with multiple colours, which reflects in the water, giving it a painterly look, as the silhouetted pilings march towards the horizon.

“The Painted Sky”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

All the colours of the rainbow in this amazing pre- sunrise sky, which is beautifully reflected in the waters of Lake King, with the timber jetty, its pylons and the outer pilings leading to the horizon. This is a 2 shot panorama, both long exposures, with bits of the sky blended from both shots.

“The Pylon Witness”.
Eagle Point, Victoria

The pre-dawn light casting multi coloured hues into the sky, and across the calm water, and tinging the edges of the storm clouds with coloured light, as a single, silhouetted pylon, stands witness.
