This session was a very special one 🥹 my beautiful friends had their little man earlier this year, and I heading up to Canberra to capture a newborn session for them while he was 2 weeks young. It was my first night spent away from my little guy too!

Capturing little Ronan was such a privilege and I will forever be so grateful for the time we had together in those fresh newborn weeks. I cannot wait for our boys to get up to no good together 🫶

I had such a gorgeous family session a little while back, meeting Luba and her beautiful boys! The boys provided all the energy, and despite their energy it was so relaxing to just wander around Luba’s beautiful property and embrace the excitement.

One of the biggest comments I get before a family session is that the kids are going to be a lot 😅 as a mum of a boy myself - I 100% understand! You just never know what you’re gonna get!

However, I like to lean into the energy. After all we want the kids to want to come back and do family photos again in the future right? 😂 it’s about making it a fun experience for everyone, and that includes mum 🫶 I captured the moments where the kids are, I don’t force it. I match their energy, and it pays off every time 🥺

Winter has well and truly set in, and I’ve been busy hibernating myself 😂 a little life update, I’ve been super quiet on here these past few weeks as our Harvey man started daycare and 3 weeks in brought home some serious sickness 😒 it’s been a struggle to say the least.

On the plus side, Winter has been a nice change since that prolonged Summer! It even snowed a little at my home yesterday! ❄️ it’s been so cosy to have the fire on each night. How has your Winter been so far?

I think it’s so sweet when a partner reaches out to book a maternity session for the mother of their baby. It’s rare, but it blows me away every time 🥺 even better when they want to be involved and are simply in awe of them during the session 🥺 it’s so special 🤍

My Autumn mini’s were a success! I feel so blessed to live on a property with so many maple trees 🥺 although a few of the trees dropped their leaves so much faster than I expected, I still have some dropping leaves much later than the rest, even now! I waited all year for the trees to turn red and then they turned too quick and dropped all their leaves 😂 but it really makes you appreciate the beauty of them while they’re thriving 🍂

This photoshoot was a little different to my normal sessions, as we went into the rainforest and shot in the river! It was such a fun time, and shooting close to sunset created a natural nostalgic haze which came across in the completed maternity gallery 🥹

Tara was so adventurous and was willing to climb out onto the fallen tree trunk to get the shot! Being well into her third trimester was not going to stop her 😆 I think both her partner Cedric and I were on edge the whole time she was out there 😅

Yesterday I had the pleasure of heading to a sunrise workshop with the very talented .may.photography_ , .photography & ! We also had the cutest models ever 🥹

I learnt so much, I had information refreshed in my mind that I had forgotten. But most of all I realised how important it is to connect with other like minded creatives in the industry 🫶

One question I get asked all the time is ‘what should we wear for our photo shoot?’ And that’s completely understandable, everyone wants to look the best on camera for their photos 🥹

My best advice is to keep it simple. Neutral or earthy colours are the best on camera, and it creates a natural, warm vibe which comes across in your gallery.

Some of my best tips for choosing what to wear -

✨ Keep it simple and comfortable
✨ Be aware of accessories like Smart Watches
✨ Try to stick with a neutral colour palette
✨ Avoid blacks if possible

In honour of celebrating my very beautiful frand’s birthday yesterday, let me share some of my favourites from our recent maternity session 😍

I was fortunate enough to be able to head up to Canberra for this maternity session. We had terrible weather that weekend and a bit of a small hike to get to this spot, but I am so glad we powered through a break in the weather to get these absolute gems 🥲

We hired this dress from and had it shipped directly to ACT. It arrived earlier than expected, with plenty of time in the hire to adjust our game plan due to the weather.

What a privilege it is to be able to capture memories for my favourite people in my life ❤️
