Even in an industrialised town like Mount Isa you can find things that brighten up the place.

The purple flower is Mulla Mulla, a native to Australia and it looks soft and fluffy with a cone shape arrangement of flower spikes.

They love the dry arid in-land areas of Australia and this patch of Mulla Mulla was enormous.

Mt Bundy Station is a place near Adelaide River, Northern Territory.

It has diverse farm animals ranging from donkeys, water buffalo, guinea fowl and even crocodiles in the dams.

Thankfully they have a pool that looks like an oasis.

Awesome facilities and one of the best sunsets we have had so far.

Staying at Camooweal Roadhouse, NT and the beautiful Lake Francis is close by.

Plenty of birdlife, we saw Brolgas, pelicans, white cranes, shags, cormorants,ducks to name a few.

But the still reflection was something else 🥰

Mt Isa is a large town in western Queensland, full of industry. A major mining centre with around 19,000 people.

When I asked a local gentleman “I want to photograph something pretty in Mt Isa, where would you recommend?” he said go The Granites and gave me directions how to get there.

I wish I had more time to explore this area, as the brief time I was there, I absolutely fell in love with this place.

The colour changes before sunset over the red granite boulders was stunning and to return over a few nights would give new experiences each time.

Whilst in Longreach we did a Thompson River tour with Trevor.
We found Trevor by going to the Tourist information centre at Longreach and a lady by the name of Kathy was super helpful! She had us booked into the Stockmans Hall of Fame, QANTAS museum, the Cobb and Co Coach tour in a short amount of time. Absolute legend at her job - and with a great sense of humor.

Trevor gave us some great insight to the town of Longreach and brought some bait for the Yellow Belly that could be caught in the river.

A pretty sunset over the river topped off a beautiful afternoon .

On the road and we traveled through Bollon, Queensland.

A gorgeous camp beside Wallam Creek, with plenty of birdlife.

Time to chase sunrises, sunsets and stars whilst enjoying a well needed break.
