On Tuesday the 23.04.2024 at 11:45am I was in Boonah working taking drone images for a real estate company, I am licenced to fly a drone and am respectful and diligent when piloting my drone of five years. Upon decent a man approached me yelling at me to “pack up my s**t and f**koff” accusing me of being a perv and flying on his land hovering taking photos of his property. I politely told him my name what I was photographing and the property I was photographing even offering to show him the images I took so he could see I was not on his property and his property was not photographed. He refused to look at the images and called profanities at me repeatedly, it was at this time I noticed he was holding a 20cm kitchen knife shaking and unhinged abusing me, I asked him why his was holding a knife, shaking so much, and yelling at me I WAS SCARED! He replied I am gardening with my knife and I am angry at you . After numerous times I told him to leave me alone and go away things were escalating with his behaviour towards me. I needed to land the drone safely as a drone not piloted is dangerous, trying to defuse his aggressive behave to appease him and keeping my eye the knife, he was holding. Eventually neighbours came out hearing his ranting and yelling, after my final loud firm request to GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE! He lunched towards and attacked me, I thought he was coming into stab me in the stomach luckily for me he punched my hand knocking my drone remote to the ground and disconnecting my drone damaging my phone. The neighbours followed him confronting him where another called the police. Police arrived promptly, (he was not arrested) I filed a police report as that is all I could do. The concerning part of this incident is that he has outbursts with many neighbours causing problems and bullying . With the Redbank Plains stabbing of Vyleen White and the Bondi Stabbings this man will end up killing someone one day, I am on high alert and vigilant as I often work alone in places that are not familiar to me. The town knows this man and his bad behaviour towards people, I am not going to let him get away with this a 70yr old man attacking a single female in broad daylight on the street “DOING HER JOB” before running back to your home and hide, you’re not Australian you are not a man you a Pathetic spinless entitled human who couldn’t handle when stood up to. I am past scared I am livered that he entered my world and put me in a position that could have had me not come home to my children and family and for what? Because he didn’t like what I was doing , this person’s ignorance’s, lack of self-control using bulling and brandishing a weapon to intimidate because he can’t control himself in fit of rage. I have a meeting with victim of violence in a couple of days as I need now help in navigating how I move forward and carry on doing my job without fear. I am not a victim but due to his attack on me I need to prepare myself mentally and get advice and support. Thank you to the neighbours in Milford St, Dugandan for helping me by stepping in and confronting this man and supporting me.
