First & Third Pregnancy - you know what to expect during pregnancy, birth and raising a child and by the third baby you realise that not all pregnancies, births or children are the same. I guess we just prepare ourselves to be unprepared. Well, that is my experience anyway.
As I put this collage together I noticed a difference in this Mumma. It wasn't in body shape/baby bump or location, but the confidence and wisdom that is shining from her eyes during this pregnancy - she has been there and done that (pregnancy and birth) and has the scars (dare I say stretch marks?? 😉) to prove it. Can you see what I see? Admittedly, the first photo was an early morning session and the second photo was after a couple of coffees 😂
This beautiful lady is my sister and has been such a wonderful support of my little business since the beginning. She has modelled for me many times, her first pregnancy maternity session being one. She asked if I could grab a quick photo of her in the same dress during a morning tea a couple weeks before the birth of her third bub. Sadly we didn't get to have a dedicated session together in this dress for her second little one however we do have photo evidence that she wore it. How is it that she has gotten more beautiful as the years have gone on?
What similarities and differences have you noticed in yourself through multiple pregnancies? Maybe you haven't had children but you have been placed in a challenging situation numerous times over the years - have you noticed how differently you have handled fear of the unknown?
On a side note - this is an OP Shop dress that we bought for this session in particular - it is cool that she kept it considering it is more my style than her own. And check out the difference in my editing style.
