Family photos at home aren’t just for newborns.
They’re for every stage. Every season.

Because this is where your everyday unfolds - where grubby fingerprints decorate the windows, wet afternoons turn into couch cuddles and movies, the kids build friendships on the street, decorate the paths in chalk art and float leaf boats down the gutter.

These spaces hold layers of our memories. The kind you don’t always notice until you look back and realise… this is where so much life was happening all along.

This little peek is of my beautiful friend and her family, captured at her home on a cosy, rainy arvo during a workshop led by
And honestly, it’s one of my favourite kinds of sessions to capture!

Edited with my new Story Keeper Marigold Preset pack which is full of real life filmy goodness!

I’ve had so many new mamas in front of my lens lately. No idea what’s in the water, but there are babies everywhere and it’s been the best documenting this season!

Nothing compares to your first. That slow lead-up to the biggest life shift you’ll ever have. It’s full of excitement, nerves, wonder, and a whole lot of unknowns no matter how many books and podcasts you inhale ☺️

I look back at myself in that first year as a brand new mum with a bub with terrible colic, a poor latch and zero sleep and just want to give her a hug. It was a lot! Beautiful and totally overwhelming, all at the same time.

Support and finding your village of mamas, even if it’s a small one, is honestly the best thing ever. We were never meant to walk this season alone x

Braving winter’s chill for sunrise is no small thing, we may not have been able to feel our feet …but goodness, the reward. ☺️
Empty beaches, golden light, and a quiet moment to honour this new season of life.

That’s why we take photos, isn’t it?
To press pause. To bottle it up.
For the future version of ourselves who’ll look back and feel it all over again.
They only grow in value with time.

If you’re expecting a little one, now is the time to lock your session in.
I want your shoot to feel just like you. Clothes that feel like home, a location that holds meaning for your family, and an hour of laughter, slowness, and soaking in the beauty of right now.
Let’s make space for the story you’re living out right now.

My books are open for the rest of 2025 and I only have a few spots left each month leading up to Chrissy. Maternity sessions are great to do between 28-35 weeks and a newborn session in those first early 2-4 weeks after bubba arrives.

Dm to chat or head to the link in my bio for all the details x

The good old days 🫶 sometimes we don’t realise we’re in them until they’ve passed.

This motherhood session with Sharri and her girl was full of all the things that make this season so special: laughter that echoes, arms flung around mama’s neck, wild curls flying, endless movement, and that kind of love that feels loud and full and all-encompassing.

These are the days that are messy and magic. That test your patience and fill your heart to the brim. I have a three year old too, so I’m totally in this season as well! ☺️

And here’s the thing I keep coming back to… every season is full of lasts. The last time they need your help putting their shoes on. The last time they say “hold me” after a long day. The last time they fit perfectly in that little nook on your hip.

Photos hold those lasts. They keep them safe. And over time, their value only grows.

One day, these images will mean everything.

I’ve got one spot left for my next Homely Session Day, happening June 28th at the most beautiful, character-filled 100-year-old farmhouse. If this kind of storytelling session feels like something you want to bottle up forever, DM me to grab the final spot.

A slow, rainy afternoon. A mama and her little one wrapped up in the beauty of these early days. No props, no pressure, just love in its most tender, everyday form.

This motherhood shoot was part of our workshop in Bundeena, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Stripped back, raw, and quietly powerful. Think cosy textures, bare feet, gentle posing, and that kind of deep-in-your-bones warmth only motherhood can bring.

We shot at the most incredible shipping container home , The Shiphouse, nestled near the beach in Bundeena. It was a perfectly intimate and grounding space for this kind of storytelling.

A massive shout out to and her sweet bub for braving the wild weather and showing up so beautifully... what you’re not seeing in these images is me leading a shoot with 6 other photogs shooting and learning alongside me. ☺️

There’s just one more Feel Good workshop left for the year! We’re heading to the Mornington Peninsula on October 16th, and it’s going to be a good one. Jas, Em and I would love you to join us!

Want in? DM me for more details or to grab a spot. Immersive and soulful learning with an incredible bunch of women.

Newborn sessions that feel like you…

You won’t find baskets or beige backdrops here, just honest, love-soaked moments in the places that matter most.

Just your life, as it is.
Your clothes. Your couch. Your crew.

We can start at home, in the bubble of blankets, feeds, and cubby forts as the light falls across the lounge room floor.

Then, if you feel up to it, we can wander out
down the streets where you live, where the big kids scoot and the pram rolls slow.

Grab a coffee, take a breather, and let the everyday become part of your captured story too.

Because these early days?
They’re not always quiet. They’re rarely tidy.
But they’re yours.

Your big kids climbing over the arm of the lounge.
Your baby curled up in your lap in the morning sun.
The way your home and your world looks right now - full, alive, and layered with love.

It’s how I love to photograph new life -
unposed, unfiltered, unapologetically real.

It’s what I’ve done with my own four,
documenting the blur and the beauty, the noise and the stillness.
If that feels like you, I’d love to tell your story too. Limited dates left for the rest of the year. Get in touch if you would love your fam captured.

// 📸 The Hodges at home, soaking in life with their newest little love.
It’s been such an honour to be invited into the full story - from the anticipation of maternity, to the raw beauty of his birth, and now these slow, love-soaked days with their baby boy. Hats off to all those with 3 boys!! What a ride.

The good old days aren’t behind us. We’re living them right now.

It’s in the messy kitchen benches, the piles of shoes by the door, the way little hands reach for yours without a second thought. It’s in the noise, the chaos, the relentless pace of it all.

One day, these walls will be quieter. The shoe pile smaller. The toys will be packed away, and you’ll look back and realise, these were the good old days. 🤍

This session at the farmhouse felt like pressing pause on all that beautiful chaos. Just a mama and her kids, right in the thick of it. Real. Honest. Everything that matters.

Because one day, you’ll want to remember this, just as it is.

✨ I have one spot left for my June Homely farmhouse sessions. If you want to capture your own fam at this beautiful location or in your own home, I’d love to tell your story. Send me a DM or click the link in my bio to check out my Homely sessions.

Every season is worth remembering.

The gap-toothed grins.
The baby curls.
The way they cling to you when they’re unsure, or throw their head back when they laugh.

People often ask me, “When’s the best time to do a family shoot?”
And honestly? There’s no perfect time. It’s all the best time.

If you’re waiting until your little one is a bit older, until their teeth come in, until you feel more like yourself in your body, until the season feels a little easier…please don’t.

Because the now is where the beauty lives.

This season won’t last forever, but it’s worthy of being seen, held, and remembered just as it is. Messy, tender, blooming.

And if I can tell you one thing from behind the lens with kids who have reached the teen years, once your kids hit those older years, the photos become fewer. Their willingness softens. That first ten years is golden.

Heck yes, you should do the maternity session. And here’s why.

When you look through your gallery, I don’t just want you to see a bump.

I want you to see the miracle that is pregnancy and motherhood (even if your journey has been marked by sickness, heartache or a long journey up until this point).

The quiet anticipation of a new little soul about to join your world.

The family you’ve built up until now, right on the cusp of change.

This season, this version of your family, is fleeting, and that’s exactly what makes it sacred.

If you’re tossing up between maternity and newborn photos, the good news is — you don’t have to choose. I offer a beautiful package that includes both sessions, because these seasons are so worthy of documenting. Each one holds something different. Something special.
One captures the waiting.
The other, the wonder.
And together, they tell the whole story ~ the Bud to Blossom Collection.

If you’re expecting, don’t wait to book. I recommend getting in touch during your first or second trimester so we can lock in your dates with plenty of time (maternity sessions are typically held between 28–34 weeks) and your newborn session within the first 2-4 weeks of your bubbas arrival.

✨ If you’ve been dreaming of documenting your pregnancy in an honest, artful and connected way, I’d love to chat. You can enquire via the link in my bio or send me a message anytime.

Let’s make something beautiful like these incredible frames from a recent maternity session with James & Amie x

The road to a family session is often never smooth. There’s always a meltdown (or two), a last-minute snack that ends up all over someone’s shirt, and at least one missing shoe. You might arrive flustered, wondering if this was a good idea at all.

But then… you step onto the sand, the ocean hums in the background, and your little ones take off, wild and free. You remember why these images matter and that perfection isn’t part of the recipe. No stiff poses, no pressure—just space to breathe, play with your little ones, and be together. I’ll guide you through every step of the way, but the magic? That’s all yours. ✨

And when you see your images ~ your love, your chaos, your beautiful, messy, real life captured forever… you’ll know it was always worth it. They aren’t little for long and now you’ll have a keepsake to always remember it.

Hey hey, I’m back! After a wild few weeks of no power thanks to the cyclone, going fully off-grid, and celebrating not one, not two, but THREE birthdays (hello 40, Juni’s big 3, and my eldest turning 14!), I’m finally back in the office and so ready to dive into all the creative goodness again.

And what better way to kick things off than sharing the second instalment of this dreamy shoot from last month’s workshop that I ran? Nothing beats the beauty of motherhood at home, and when you add a flower garden into the mix. OBSESSED. 🌿✨

Speaking of, our Sydney Feel Good workshop is coming up fast! It’s happening on May 22nd, and there are only a few spots left! If you’re wondering what it’s like, hear what Bella thought of last months workshop 🫶

“The day was EPIC! I didn’t want it to end lol. Sooo much creativity and education packed into the day. The sessions were amazing—Emma, Jas & Bec made everyone feel like family instantly, showed us so many different creative ways of shooting and posing, and used the amazing property perfectly! I’ve come away from the day with my cup overflowing. I had been stuck in a bit of a creative rut but woken up today feeling inspired and ready to implement so much of what we’ve learnt into my business and sessions. Photographer’s dream!”
Sounds pretty magical, right?

DM me for more info or grab your ticket at www.feelgoodfolk.com.au before they’re gone! 💫
