ISLANDER with Island To Island Studios is Opening next week the 27th of August at the Theatre Royal Hobart

Thank you to the team, cast and crew at Island to Island Studios for inviting me to come capture a glimpse of what you are about to give to our community.

A Scottish Story told through song, spoken word bringing spine tingling moments of loss, connection, and discovery.

Callaghan Family Gallery is now delivered and this session experience couldn’t have gone more perfect than it did. In the middle of our Tassie Winter, we managed to have no rain, wind, no biting cold. It was calm, the sun was out and golden as it made its way down behind the hills of Glen Huon.

This gorgeous family came ready for connection, the kids were excited, the parents came with a beautiful calm and it was actual bliss to capture them. I operate in a way where I gently guide some fun games, a hand placement here or there but the connection I capture, the love and small moments between you and yours, that is ALL YOU.

A dream shoot is a perfect combination of me ready and supportive, of you, my family I work with, ready to connect, be involved and have a beautiful mindfulness for your experience.

Now, the dream shoot doesn’t always happen lol I have been in front of the camera, and have had my own children crying, it was windy or rainy and I was frazzled. And still, amongst all of that beautiful chaos, there were small magical moments able to be captured.

So even if the getting ready with kids, or the weather isn’t what we wanted, I will be here ready to support you through that and still capture those magical moments that we sometimes miss xx

With a grateful heart I want to say a big thank you to ALL of you who trust me to capture you, to work with you, it means everything to me and I value each of you who I have the honour of working with and knowing for one small moment in time.

Ferne and her beautiful baby girls!

Mother’s Day Minis at was warm, cosy and an easy going time as Ferne and her little ones connected with one another, explored the shack and the ocean nearby. This is a little snippet into the magic that comes with motherhood and how incredible we navigate being sole nurturers and home for these beautiful tiny humans.

you are raising your babies with such warmth and intention, it’s been a privilege to observe how you show up for them x

3 Years since Leatua Photography became a lil biz x

A little photoshoot was in order, thanks to the trusty tripod, my homemade cake, fresh lashes by .aesthetics.by.aiya , party blower fixed by my girl Rio, and the whole concept from beautiful 🙌

A HUGE thank you to all of you who have trusted me over the years with your photos, your time and energy. I’m so grateful for the community that has grown and keeps growing through creating magic.

Here’s to many more years of honing my craft, seeing all your stories evolve, capturing that through the lens and creating more friendships.

So grateful to be in this part of the world and to do what I love x

To say I’m obsessed is an understatement 🥹 Bec at managed to create THE most magical gallery of all the tiny details, the little looks of love, a frown, a funny face, hands entwined. All my kids cried at some point in the session, I was overwhelmed with all the little things and it was a tad windy but Bec managed to capture the in between moments, the beautiful connective moments.

It makes me think about how perspective matters, I felt overwhelmed or at least was focused on that overwhelm.

In life this can be the case for all of us at times, to maybe be overwhelmed or focused on what we can’t control. But having these moments captured, I can see there are always glimpses of gold, of magic, of soul filling energy exchanges in the every day, and sometimes challenging moments.

Having invested in these photos being taken of me and the kids, it’s a big reminder as to the importance of our stories being captured.

These will last forever, as seasons change, my kids grow, and what life looks like will look different. But these images will always have those moments frozen in time, to recall the feeling of having those small hands in mine.

A beautiful family, wrapped in love and each others arms, the last hot day of Summer in beautiful Lutruwita/Tasmania. The most picturesque, warm and easy night to capture beautiful Hayley and her family in this season before they welcome their new baby to the family xx

So grateful I get to call this my job, meeting you all, capturing your most precious people & moments and then to deliver you your images that will last forever x
