On-Point Photography WA

On-Point Photography WA On-Point Photography (WA) was established in 2018 by owner and photographer, Robert Fullgrabe.

Robert commenced photography as a hobby, gathering candid snaps of family and friends, private events, extending to the occasional landscape or animal. Robert has the ability to capture beautiful images, seeing moments others miss or aren't ready to explore. Robert's passion for photography grew into collaborations through "Group Shoot" events, allowing other artistic people to get together to sha

re their passion, skills and knowledge. This lead to further networking and partnerships with models, photographers, Hair & Makeup Artists (HMUA), stylists and more. Roberts networking and collaborative exploration has seen him work with published models such as Indigenous model Danara Michael, and Inked Alternative Model (Blood Barbie) Leah Peterson. Robert has also been privileged to work with WA born musician and singer/songwriter Billy Woodley, who commissioned works for use of advertising posters, as well as publication of his self-titled album "Billy Woodley" in 2022, which in Robert's words "Is an honour". Driven by the passion and opportunities, in 2020 Robert commenced his studies to complete his Diploma of Photography, working alongside local WA based AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) Members and lecturers. Although at this point Robert had gained knowledge and understanding through self educational methods, this opportunity assisted with refining and honing his skills. A move to Sydney late in 2020 opened the diverse doors of the industry for Robert, with the prospects of high end opportunities within the industry. As an Indigenous photographer, Robert strives to work with people from all forms of life, with a continual focus on working with Indigenous people. Robert's work with Indigenous people encourages self-esteem within each individual, helping them on their journey to connect back to their roots (connecting with country) where possible. Such inspiration comes from fellow Queensland Indigenous photographer Trent White. Robert's aspirations are as culturally specific as Trent's, with the intentions to work state-wide, for both non-commercial and commercial purposes. It is Robert's mission as a photographer to provide work and services that are not only fun, energetic, informative and enjoyable, but are value for money and "On-Point".

Sometimes we applaud feedback and customer satisfaction. But then you get the explanation along with it.

This is one of them times. Sent by a very satisfied and appreciative client:

“In my experience, Robert consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service, outstanding professionalism, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of the people he works with.

What sets Robert apart from other photographers is his unique ability to connect with people on a personal level. He understands that photography is not just about capturing images but about creating an environment where clients feel comfortable, valued, and understood. His patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to each individual's needs make every photoshoot a positive and memorable experience.

One of Robert's greatest strengths is his advocacy and support for neurodivergent individuals, particularly young people. He approaches every session with understanding, care, and compassion, taking the time to learn about each person's needs and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable throughout the process. His patience and flexibility allow participants to express themselves naturally, resulting in authentic photographs and a positive experience for both the young person and their family. Many photographers focus solely on the final image, whereas Robert focuses equally on the wellbeing of the individual in front of the camera.

Robert's commitment to the community extends far beyond his photography business. He is a passionate advocate for talented young people across Western Australia and regularly provides sponsorship, support, mentoring, and opportunities that help young people build confidence and pursue their goals. His willingness to invest his time and resources into supporting emerging talent demonstrates his dedication to strengthening the local community.

His communication skills are exceptional. From the initial enquiry through to the delivery of photographs, Robert ensures clients are informed, listened to, and supported at every stage. He is approachable, professional, and responsive, making it easy for clients to feel confident in his services.

What truly makes Robert deserving of this award is that he consistently goes above and beyond the role of a photographer. He acts as a mentor, advocate, supporter, and community champion. He takes the time to help individuals build confidence, promotes young talent within the community, accommodates unique needs without judgement, and continually seeks ways to create positive outcomes for those he works with.

I believe Robert embodies the qualities that this award seeks to recognise: excellence in customer service, community contribution, inclusion, professionalism, and genuine care for others. His impact extends far beyond photography, and the difference he makes in the lives of his clients and the wider Western Australian community is truly remarkable.

For these reasons, I strongly recommend Robert from On-Point Photography WA as a deserving recipient of this award.

Yours sincerely,

Samantha”
