Just a little ASMR unboxing.

Decided to invest in a couple more cinema lenses from — went with the 21mm and 40mm as a pairing.

They’re not built for every job, especially running solo, but there’s definitely a time and place where these will shine.

Half hour shoot before he flew back to the UK.

He’d had a couple of hours sleep after busting his knee, but still showed up and got it done.

Garage setup. One light. Shot on the Fuji XS-20.

Made both colour and black and white edits, they each carried a different mood.

Proof you don’t need perfect conditions to get something solid.

For this event with Heyscape, I filmed landscapes down in Denmark and the footage was projected across the space on the night.
The idea was simple, make people feel like they were already there.
Wide coastlines. Slow movement. Natural sound.
Sometimes a screen on a wall can completely shift the atmosphere of a room.

Today’s work isn’t about the final edit.
It’s about sitting with the footage, watching everything, and cutting it into pieces that actually mean something.

This was a doc-style shoot. Nothing staged. No script.
Just real moments, now being shaped in DaVinci so the stories can come together properly later.

This part’s quiet.
But this is where the good stuff starts.

Dimattina coffee, shot as a short sequence.
Hero frame.
Process.
Texture.
Final pour.
Even simple products deserve a story, not just a clean backdrop.

Post-surf, back at the cabin.
Salt on the skin, cold air, warm water.
Simple moments like this are what people actually remember.
Shot in Yallingup for Heyscape.

Grooving the Grove.

Shot this for Heyscape in the lead up to the event. I was more interested in the setup than the crowd.

Tables going down. Lights warming up. Small adjustments that most people don’t notice.

That calm before everything starts has a different kind of energy.

Sometimes that’s the part that tells the story best.

It’s strange but I never shoot with direct sunlight. Turns out afternoon direct sunlight and a plain wall makes great black and white portraits. Give it a go! @ Fremantle, Western Australia
