Spring is unfolding 🍃

I’m enjoying hearing bird song, seeing early butterflies and new growth.

In the garden there are blossoms, seedlings and signs of wildlife.

I look forward to welcoming you in November when Serenity Corner is part of the Blue Mountains Edible Garden Trail 😊

Creativity stems from exploring colour, texture, line, form, shadow and light.

From first noticing the light on my fruit bowl through to final image, here is a snippet of photographic observation captured with my iPhone.

We are enjoying the colours of Autumn at the moment and starting to see our winter crop seedlings come through.

There’s always tidying to do and new areas to develop in the veggie patch, but today enjoying small harvests of the past is enough.

Serenity Corner will be part of the Edible Garden Trail again this year. If that is something that you would like to do, visit the Edible Garden Trail page https://www.ediblegardentrail.com/register-your-garden and sign up 😀

Register your garden for the Blue Mountains Edible Garden Trail taking place on the weekend of Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2026. Please complete the form below and upload a photo of your garden to be part of the 2026 Blue Mountains Edible Garden Trail.

Alongside physio exercises my arms and wrists have been on a diet of ‘rest and recovery’.

But now I’m starting to get ‘stitching active’ again 🙂

For my first project I am stitching Fiona Jude’s ‘Protea’; a long stitch design printed on canvas and ready mounted. I’ll gradually (very gradually) be completing a range of projects showcasing a range of embroidery techniques, and look forward to displaying them at Serenity Corner.

I’ll also be leading Embroidery for Beginners workshops soon. If you have been wanting to attend a small group, in person workshop this is the space for you 😊

With a space for prepping light refreshments, and shelves with creative prompts, Zoned Creatives ‘Serenity Corner’ is a great space for small group workshops.
