A neighbour on my street was kind enough when planting their Waratah tree, to place it right next to the nature strip, so everyone can have the pleasure of walking past it. Each year I check the tree and suddenly there they are! Glorious. A wonderful moment in the year.
I think it's time for me to have an attempt at sketching it??

A few little moments captured from today's trip to Dangar Island... So lush, so idyllic in the crisp air and sunshine, it feels miles away from everywhere. You're just settling in to the island's vibrations and suddenly you have to race to catch the ferry back to Brooklyn.
