Brisham proudly presents a humble and heartfelt musical journey, "The Tune of Rubab," in collaboration with the esteemed Shugoofa Association.

Join us as we take this captivating program to six libraries across the state of Victoria, where you'll be treated to a captivating exploration of the rich history and traditional Afghan folk music of the Rubab.

Led by the renowned "Rubab Nawaz," Master Hossein Shirzad, who has honed his craft under the tutelage of the legendary Master Mohammad Omar, this performance promises to transport you to the enchanting melodies of Afghanistan.

Witness the skilled hands of Master Shirzad as he brings the Rubab to life, accompanied by the rhythmic brilliance of emerging artist Habibullah Sa'adat on the tabla.

Brisham presents
"The Tune of Rubab" program
With the honorary cooperation of Shugoofa Association.

In this program, we take "The Tune of Rubab" to six libraries in the state of Victoria.
"The Tune of Rubab" includes a short description of the history of Rubab to the audience and the performance of several pieces of Afghan folk songs.

Master Hossein Shirzad, known as "RUbab Nawaz", who himself was trained by Master Mohammad Omar in the distant years in Kharabat Alley and later developed his traditional musical knowledge and skill in India, will perform this program live. Master Shirzad is one of the well-known figures who teach traditional Afghan music and make and repair stringed instruments in Melbourne.

We will be running the first program on June 15th at Belgrave Public Library. If you are interested, join us and enjoy.
In this performance, emerging artist Habibullah Sa'adat will play tabla.
Further events in the Casey, Docklands and Shepparton areas will be announced in the coming days.
