This drone shot i took looks like a scene from Africa. The dirt is bone dry, the grass is like straw. There's wallaby tracks heading towards the nearby river. The only green trees are prickly bushes.
We had a small shower in Dimbulah the other day but wasn't enough to drown a mouse. I believe there is more to come, fingers crossed, we need more rain to fill our water tank.

Derek you stole my heart. Derek has these piercing blue eyes that feel as though he is looking not just into you eyes but through your soul. So sweet and innocent.
He loves his tucker because there wasn't a moment he didn't have some kind of food in his mouth! He was double dipping bikkies, devouring avacado's and even had a go at tamarind, which to my surprise enjoyed its sour bitter taste.

Red head cotton bush (Tropical milkweed)

The plant contains toxic chemicals called cardiac glycosides. While these toxins are dangerous to most animals, Monarch butterfly caterpillars eat the leaves exclusively.
Chemical Armor: The caterpillars absorb the toxins and store them in their bodies.
Warning System: This makes both the caterpillars and the adult butterflies highly poisonous to birds and other predators.
The bright orange and black colors of the Monarch serve as a warning sign saying, "Don't eat me, I taste terrible."🩹 It is not native to Australia.
