Today I upgraded the gates to pur rescue pig area and also took the opportunity to do a minor improvement to the water reticulation.

It's little things like this that increase the safety and quality of life of our rescued residents.

It's not often that you see a group of horses sleeping this close.

On Sunday I had a fantastic time at Split Rock Mountain photographing some of the agisted horses there.

These three have only know each other for a couple of weeks and have already formed a bond so strong that they're able to huddle together and fall asleep - trusting that neither of the other horses are going to bite them or push them away. It was absolutely amazing to see!

One of our rescue roosters, Dr George O'Malley, has decided that he likes people more then roosters and has been following us around and handing at at the back of the house.

Today he even followed me into the horse paddock!

Horses, cats, birds, rabbits, goats, cows, and the animals people never really forget.

Floki and I have a special bond.

Horse Model Call

I’m looking for a small number of horses for a new creative project I’m working on.

These sessions will feature dramatic black background portraits and fine art inspired equine imagery - refined, timeless, and something a little different from my usual work.

I’m looking for horses that are:
• Well-groomed and presentation ready.
• Calm and comfortable standing still for short periods.
• Not overly reactive or wriggly.
• Comfortable with handlers using attention-getting tools such as target balls, sounds, or movement nearby.
• Comfortable wearing a lightweight rope halter.

📍 Sessions must be within 1 hour of Toogoolawah, Queensland.

Selected participants will receive:
• 3 professionally edited digital images.
• One 8x10 inch matted print.
• The option to purchase additional artwork if desired.

Please note:
Not everyone who applies will be selected.
Horses will be chosen based on suitability for the style and concept of the shoot.
