Yesterday I went to my first drag club meeting Whyalla Steelcitydragclub with a couple of Whyalla Camera Club members and learnt how to 'pan'. It's a technique I've been wanting to try for a while and this was the perfect opportunity. Such a great day out. Here's some of the images. If you know anyone whose car is pictured, please share. Such a great arvo at the beach making memories with this gorgeous family. Grandparents, parents, kids, the dog and even the bird all came along for the session - three generations together, which doesn't happen every day!
And the best part? They're my neighbours. Love that I get to capture moments like this for people right here in my own backyard. 💛

A bit of exciting news. I recently entered 16 images into the 63rd SAPF (South Australian Photographic Federation) Annual Exhibition, and I'm really chuffed with how they went. 10 of them received an award, including 4 Merits and 6 Acceptances.
Standouts included "Taking Flight" (a galah mid-launch) which scored 26, and my two composite pieces "Just Breathe" and "Not Yet Free" both picking up Merits in the Creative category. "A Moments Peace," a quiet little moment with Liv, also picked up an Acceptance (Samantha Carmody).

On top of that, Whyalla Camera Club tied for first with Naracoorte Camera Club in the Club Set (Clubs less than 25 members) category, so a big well done to the whole club too!

Honestly still pinching myself a bit. There's a lot of talented photographers in this competition, so to have this many images recognised means a lot. Thanks to everyone who continue to support and encourage me along the way, it really does make a difference.
