Model call out… I have a few more vintage items to showcase as part of my “thrifted and gifted series”..
For the next couple of installations I need a small sized lady around a size 6- maximum size 8.. to fit the dresses I have collected, the waists are tiny … and someone with horse experience and confidence .
Bonus if you appreciate vintage styling.
Location for one will be Branxton 27th June 2pm

After two cancelled photo sessions thanks to bad weather, I finally got to capture an engagement session for this lovely couple.
Thank goodness it was just perfect today & the autumn leaves were still hanging on for me.
Their origin story doesn't exactly read like the Notebook.. but they are pretty smitten with each other now, & that's all that matters.

Sarah's engagement ring was so beautiful with a gorgeous antique feel to it.
Congratulations, & all the best for a wonderful future together.

As luck would have it, Bree had sent through a message to apply to be one of my vintage clothing models for my "thrifted & gifted" series.
So, while I was taking pics of her today, I asked if I could bring along one of the thrifted dresses I had.
I am guessing this wedding gown is 70's, maybe 80's..
The jewellery was thrifted… and gifted.
I added some silver & turquoise accessories to give it a more country vibe.. the bonus was one of their steers stepped in to pose for the pics.
Love the challenge of making these dresses work in a new era.

Bree had to make a heartbreaking decision to put up for sale her beloved Harvey, because he suffers with the dreaded itch so many horses in our region contend with.
She couldn't bear to see him scratching his skin raw anymore, she had tried everything to help & treat it for years.. but nothing was working.
Putting his comfort above her heart, she listed him, & he was bought very quickly & will head interstate this week.
She made a last-minute decision to get some photos with him before he leaves, & thankfully after lots of people recommended me on her post, I captured them today.
The stunning tulle dress by Tarese Estelle looked just amazing on Bree & Harvey of course didn't have any concerns with her riding him ba****ck in it.
He really is a one in a million.

I will post mine in there also. It was teal green.

I look at many of the wedding photos my golden age portrait participants bring along & the styles from 60-70 years ago are so classic that you could still wear them today.

This dress is from the 80's which is an era I have never loved fashion wise, but this dress definitely still looks awesome with the modern twist,
The goth bouquet I made for the shoot, along with repurposing a broken choker & cameo.
Boots belonged to Gigi, & the amazing jacket was upcycled by dmilo_arts.
The vintage car was a marketplace find & now part of my prop collection at Fable Farm - Shannon Smith

A perfect winter afternoon to capture this beautiful family.
The kids had a great time running around, riding in the buggy & seeing the animals.
They also brought along their fur child King, who is 9 & looking fabulous.
The leaves are still hanging on which is awesome, I can't get enough of those orange tones.
