Every now and then, a car shows up at a local rally that completely alters your perspective on automotive history. While the 1920s in America were defined by the rugged, towering Ford Model T, across the Atlantic, André Citroën was staging a miniature color revolution.
We caught this breathtaking 1920s Citroën Type C 5HP Torpedo Roadster holding court at the Pambula Show & Shine. Affectionately known as the "Little Lemon" due to its signature factory yellow paint, this lightweight icon features a striking boat-tail rear deck that the French cheekily dubbed the "Cul de poule" (hen's bottom).
Powered by a tiny but dead-reliable 856 cc four-cylinder engine, this budget-friendly cruiser came factory standard with an electric starter and electric lights—wildly advanced luxuries for an economy car of the era. Seeing this impeccably restored piece of European history sitting out on the South Coast grass is a massive treat for any true gearhead. Huge congrats to the owners for keeping this vibrant pre-war milestone rolling! 🇦🇺🇫🇷
