I remember being right here in this position, torn between excitement for the arrival of my baby and the ache of having to let go of the days of just me and her. Suddenly I had to grab each moment spent doing the simple things like watching the sunset, picking dandelions from the grass, playing with her in her toy kitchen, it felt like it was never going to happen again! Maybe it was the hormones but gosh what a crazy thought! Little did I know how much better it was going to be doing it all with two kids! So much to look forward to for this mama, and such a treat to have this moment captured and treasured for a lifetime.

Siblings…having one (or more) and being one is like riding on a seesaw. One minute you’re flying high and the next minute your butt hits the ground hard, but you keep playing and go through the motions anyway, what a blessing to have someone stick around and keep playing with you. May you always have someone as close as a brother or sister to share the ride with you x

I’ve been photographing this gorgeous family since before these two cuties were born. It felt like I had only done Marcus’s newborn photos when his mum told me she was expecting another bubba! Being the middle child has its challenges (so I’m told) and Marcus here took a little while before he was comfortable enough to have a photo with his baby sister Katia. Eventually he came around at his own time and gave me this absolute gem! My work is done 💖💖

Apart from being able to snuggle fresh tiny newborns, there’s always something special about entering a family’s home while they’re in that newborn “bubble”. Often times I’m one of the first few people who’ve entered their home after bub is born, you feel their emotions, their exhaustion, and honestly, you feel their overwhelming love, pride, and protection for this new life they’ve just delivered into their world. These first few weeks are so special, there’s no other feeling in the world quite like it, and it’s such a privilege to witness ❤️

I honestly feel so lucky to have met some really beautiful families in this job. Whether it’s a special milestone or just because the kids are growing up too fast and you want to capture them as they are, like 4mth old Evelyn here, it really is an honour give my families photographs that bring them joy.
